Tomcat Takes A Year To Finally Come Inside Woman's House | The Dodo

Stray tomcat takes a full year to finally come inside this woman’s house — and once he does, he never wants to leave ❤️

We talked with Ricky’s mom about the year she spent trying to gain his trust and the birthday party she threw him to celebrate!

  1. You see this behaviour quite often with stray cats, once they get the chance they happily change the outside world for a safe and loving home and rarely go back outside. So happy for Ricky that he found his safe haven! Thanks to his wonderful family for taking this beautiful boy in. ❤

  2. I absolutely agree with her!! Feral cats are very worth taking an interest in & exone wonderful pets! I have one too! She likes to still go outside though & hang out on the deck or enclosed porch & watch the birds, squirrels, & other things going on in the backyard. What a wonderful & sweet boy he became!! Just too cute!! So funny when he meowed at her, then hissed, & then stood up & lifted his head up towards you to be pet!! Just a little fearful in the beginning but so wanted the attention & affection!! 😊❤

  3. Bravo! So sweet! I had a bookshop in Ohio wherein shelter cats were fostered and then adopted by customers. More than 50 were adopted from my shop over the years. I then wrote a series of novels about the experience (Shelve Under C: A Tale of Used Books and Cats is the first) to encourage other shops to look into fostering dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. The business that took over my location continued to foster, thankfully.
