Tiwanaku – Board Game Review – Minesweeper on Steroids

Tiwanaku – Board Game Review – Minesweeper on Steroids

In Tiwanaku, first announced as Pachamama, you lead your tribe into unknown territory in search of new lands to cultivate. Your goal: To explore regions and draw outlines to develop cultures according to the customs and legacies of Pachamama. If you honor Her by respecting the great principles of diversity and complementarity, Nature will reward you; otherwise, you will suffer his wrath. In this race, risk-taking, deduction, intuition, and a good sense of timing should allow you to get through.

Who Am I?

One single batchelor from the UK talking about his passion for board games and the people who play them! I support small content creators, board game cafes and go against the status quo when it comes to the board game industry. I give my honest opinions without bias towards any publishers or designers and will not hold back if I don’t like a game.

The Broken Meeple is a variety channel that hosts all kinds of board game content from reviews to Top 10 lists to playthroughs to live stream collaborations with special guests (predominantly small channels who deserve more exposure).

I look forward to engaging with you, the community on my live streams or in the comments on my videos!

  1. I like this game, but both times I’ve played I take an explore action on my turn for the first half of the game before I start guessing. I’m not sure if it’s right, but it is just a little weird the flow of the game

  2. The game seems interesting.

But I really hate expansions/upgrades that bundle deluxe/component elements with gameplay elements. It always feel, and I think correctly so, like forcing people to pay extra for deluxe components they may not care about, just to get the full play…

  3. Many thanks for this complete and clear video about Tiwanaku! (We also appreciate honest reviews, always better 😉 )
Hope to see you next year at UKGE and it will be a pleasure to collaborate with you!

  4. Damn it Luke, you sold me on this! I love cryptid and have played it 50+ times. The only thing is it doesn't play 2 player so hearing that this one does play well at 2 player got me interested…. Quick Google and found a retailer selling the standard game at 40% off, so I guess I will be playing it soon then 😁

  5. I love puzzle games and will probably get this. My games go in my bag, so I have zero interest in wooden components. I would get expansions just for more scenarios, the more the better.
