Unless they changed it, my issue with the apex adaptive armor thing is that it isn't tied to the player. It's tied to the armor piece. If you get the best armor and I third party you for my first kill and only damage I get the best armor and if you get revived then you have to go through all the damage again to upgrade that armor.
