That being said let's put some respect on Garp the fist man dunks an entire town with fury one of the strongest characters of the entire series let that sink in one of Roger's strongest opponent but respected him a lot.
Oda continues to cook five star meals chapter in and chapter out. We are feasting. I think we can now say with a great degree of confidence that Garp was not kidding when he told Sengoku to hold him down at Marineford or he would've killed Akainu. He wouldn't have just packed him up he would've shipped him straight down to the planet's core. When Garp gets serious he is still among the upper echelon in the verse. Man, this arc is incredible!

Garp been in my top 5 favorite characters since Post Enies-Lobby arc. I couldn't be happier after this chapter.
The sword lore/reveal was great. Marines needed a W. This was perfect for it. Oda cooked these last 2 chapters.
Also I totally agree with Pizarro just being an island sized Pica. I think Pica was only stone or something, and Pizarro is an island… But it's similar enough to make me unimpressed.
The alternating break is pain. If we move to a bi-weekly schedule I'm gonna cry.
I was under the impression this was happening at the same time as Law vs BB, and Shanks "vs" Kid. I think the Sword lore happened before BB left his island to fight Law.
Sidenote. We saw Tashigi, but not Smoker. I feel like that means Smoker may have gone to egghead to be a Sword representative there. I feel like not all of Swords's eggs would be put in one basket.

I hate to say it, but I'm not sure about kuzan being in sword. however, with this chapter and his explanation, this could be oda's way of foreshadowing his involvement. as I seriously doubt he'd join that fatass like that. as he told smoker he's still himself, so he has to have his reasons.

the way I see this garp is trying to make amends with what happened to ace. he stood by conflicted to his duty and his family and ace died. I'm pretty sure he's still blaming himself for not doing enough to save him, especially how dadan ROYALLY laid it out to him about choosing his job over his family. I think to garp this is like a second chance for him to redeem himself. As sadly, I just don't see him getting out of this unharmed at his age.
The ending of what Garp did was f**king crazy. Wth was that attack and with SWORD I feel that Kuzan is just playing along and he's with actually with SWORD
And this is why I stand by my comment that Elders like Garp and Reiley modestly say they aren't as strong as they used to be when younger……….then they pick up a mountain and Chuck it at you 😹
