  1. I'm seeing a lot of comments about "Wow this is the opposite of Alpha's arc" and

Spoilers below because this is a genuinely good narrative

Wasn't that kind of implied in the story here? Y'all are just instinctively doing standard literary analysis. It's good to see, don't get me wrong. Let's break it down:
King Dionysius swapped places with Damocles for a day, to impress upon him the weight of the throne. But Jan didn't feel like Damocles, he felt like Dionysius. Who has he swapped places with who is feeling the strain of the swap?
Alpha. Alpha is the Damocles here.

  2. Nobody seems to have noticed this but one of the songs Jan has used in this video around the 8/9 minute mark is from Yugioh The Sacred Cards on the Gameboy, specifically the one for Vs Yami Yugi.

  3. This just shows the true spirit of a nuzlocke not gonna lie. Having to use the remains of Pokemon to move forward even tho it seems useless. Getting attached to Pokemon you thought are rather useless. Seeing the Potencial some weaker Pokemon might have. This might only last for one run before you go back to your usually strats but it's a nice change of pace 🙂
