“Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Hero Mode” is a mod created for TTYD that features new characters, artwork, story components, battle mechanics, overworld puzzles, and more to the base game in order to freshen it up, create a more challenging experience, and make an expansion on what everybody loved about the second Paper Mario. In this video I decided to check out the demo for the mod which goes through the prologue and first chapter of the game!

This Hero mode seems perfect. A mix of a actually well thought out hard-mode, and things that aid replay-ability. Everything from Goombellas tattle not taking a turn, to paper airplane everywhere. It just seems like the best way to play the game moving forward! I imagine this will be much more enjoyable than playing through the 2024 Nintendo release!

Ngl this should be called Paper Kaizo Mario TTYD Master Quest (unless of course someone exactly like that already exists). Being able to go into the airplane mode whenever is genius and should have been in the base game.
