This Tank Beats Everything

In War Thunder’s recent Drone Age update, a lot of tanks received some serious bug fixes. The American TCM AGS probably received the biggest upgrade, as it shed three tons of weight and received an extra 100hp to its engine. You might not think these would have a huge impact since the AGS was already pretty fast, but they do. The AGS can now keep pace with wheeled vehicles like the Rooikat. The TCM AGS is now one of the strongest light tanks in the US tank tech tree, if not the strongest. It also looks like the Scorpion tank from Halo, hence the title.

  1. Bruh I just played the AIM Abrams but its utter shit why… STOCK! Heatfs and no laser rangfinder, thermals etc… I wasn't expecting the amount of loses and death and moments where I would've come out on top but my stock shell failed me.

  2. Please stop doing the 'live commentary' videos. They seem a lot like they have a lower quality and it is weird. It isn't prepared and after commentary sounds much better. They are much more informative and just a lot better.

  3. How come you keep playing WT if you dislike it so much.. Always complaining and crying cuz your tanks ain´t up to par what you think it should be like.. For me, and maybe others, it seems that the only thing you do is bitch about the game.. Stop playing it instead or just hush up..

  4. >Why did they choose the M8 over this
Slow down and think about it. look at the set-up. It's set up like a tank destroyer or artillery piece and not standard light tank that needs to scout. Your main vision is far below the gun. Your ready cylinder rack is tiny for sustaining general fire. Turret is in the back which makes itself an issue in the field after the drop. Whole bunch of issues you don't see until you have to use with rear turrets.

  5. TL:DR: the Expeditionary tank was a pile of garbage from the design phase. If you need some proof on that see why many hated the M1128 which used the same turret.

IIRC the Expeditionary tank failed because of its height (being nearly a full foot taller than the XM8). and then there's the problem with the turret design and gun that persisted into the M1128. Stoppages couldn't be handled unless the crew were on top of the vehicle and they happened often as I've been told, No stabilizer so firing on the go isn't great but the M1128 wasn't meant to for firing on the move but as an infantry support vehicle unlike the Expeditionary tank which was supposed to serve as a combat tank.

Then we get into the questionable bits of information. the 60% gradient was theoretically only possible if the gun was pointed directly forward. the M8 would become heavier but still air droppable and had the plan of scaling armor. the height of the Expeditionary tank had a large chance of a roof strike of the C-130 which the Stringray and M8 had a much smaller chance. View range was a massive complaint with the Expeditionary tank as it had no way to really see behind or the sides well (a problem carried to the M1128). the hydraulic system was also a major cost and that we were still trying to fix the problems of hydraulic fires after the Isrealis found out with the M60s that caught fire. In Airdrop/ transport configuration the M8 was not as long the the Expeditionary tank which is also something to consider for Airdops. The turret wasn't able to be manually cranked which would be something important to have as the turret design was prone to failing. Cost was another major concern. the M8 predicted cost was around 3 million while the Expeditionary tank was asking for 4.5$ million.

There's a reason everyone hates the turret and no new tanks use "External Gun Turrets" and why everyone hated the Stryker and even more hated the M1128 for being the gum shoved in a hole to stop leaking.

  6. Why the hell did they add drones?

It just makes air more oppressive, not only helicopters but now cheap and small bomb droppers?
It doesn't add anything new, just increases peoples ability to hop in a plane and revenge kill.
At least ECM so people can hack your drone and turn it against you… it would be cool if they worked similar to how early WoT carriers worked.
Adding an RTS thing for some vehicles to scout with.
