  1. Very good insight into the arc update! Warlock main trying to learn hunter here, video helped a ton in figuring out new arc!!
Also the new super is just so hype, it is such a cool addition to the arc hunter's kit

  2. Don’t sleep on striking light! The main perk grants orbs when getting charged melee kills while charged with light (easy to do with elemental charge, and good for star eater scales). The secondary perk grants 25% DR while sprinting! This probably stacks with 100 res, spark off resistance, and the resistance you get while amplified and sprinting. So if you ever get in trouble and need to escape, just start running away and you’ll have massive damages reduction!

I’ll probably be running melee wellmaker, ions, font of might, elemental charge, and striking light

  3. Great vid as always, Above! This is basically the build that I made right when the new season went live, but I didn’t know a lot of these secondary benefits I was getting and how to take advantage of them. Really helpful.

One recommendation for something I’ve been loving this week: if you’re running a legendary arc special/heavy combo like Forbearance + Hothead/Stormchaser, don’t sleep on Traveler’s Chosen! It’s a monster up close, which is where you’ll be with this melee build, and it’s especially good since the catalyst gives it osmosis – toss a grenade, and you’ve got a primary that can trigger harmonic syphon and benefit from font of might on top of your special/heavy! Plus, you’ve got the exotic perk, which gives you a free top-off on all abilities if you ever find yourself waiting on a cooldown. Really nice pairing for these arc melee builds if you’re not running an exotic heavy. Maybe not the best for master/GM content, but for seasonal content and probably even dungeon/raid encounters, it’s a blast.

  4. Liars handshake is so buggy. A good amount of the time, cross counter doesnt register and you end up missing out on a lot of damage. It ruins the fun sometimes.

  5. Yeah its pretty nice until you start running contest raids and grandmasters with 20+ light level your max and you die everytime because you want to hug with the boss or a champion, putting more pressure on your teammates because you died at a place where it is almost impossible for your teamates to get to without diying themselves. Its pretty funny to me that while we had this build for years now.. but now with arc 3.0 it got some small extra's and now eveyone is one the one-two-punch builds. And on top of that if you want direct damage I much rather just run celestial or blade barrage with Star eaters for example and for add clear its way more usefull with the arc staff, because you can go to more different area's with raiden flux and control adds at many more places and for way longer as well.

  6. I think they’ve done a great job with arc 3.0. I just think it’s a pity that melee builds kinda suck. Destiny 2 shines with its gunplay. These builds seem to actively push you away from shooting stuff and just spamming melee.

  7. Adding tractor cannon is the best with a 1 2 punch shotgun because it debuffs the enemy and makes them vulnerable to ALL incoming damage so adding that extra level of damage is just so filthy.
