This Setting May Cause STUTTERS in Tarkov! – Windows Defender & Escape From Tarkov

Tarkov isn’t the most optimized game however there is one Windows setting that may be causing you to lose frames, lets have a look at windows defender a program that can cause stutters with unexpected scans. This may be a big deal for some systems so here’s how to turn it off for Tarkov!

  1. This seems really misleading. There's no explanation given as to how whitelisting these folders in your firewall specifically will help with scoped FPS which your thumbnail shows and you mention in the video, and as other people pointed out, there's no logical direct connection between the two. Then Vox seems to hand wave it away as something good to do in general and how it could possibly help low end systems.

I hope this doesn't get some snarky response or dismissed because it's legitimate criticism. I've been a subscriber for a long time and I think this is indicative of this channel's content quality decreasing. I didn't comment about it before but I've been noticing it for awhile now. On the "Make Millions in Tarkov – Lighthouse Loot Guide" video, there's a walkthrough of the map with entire large sections completely skipped over. In the video, you say things like "there's loot over there but we're not going to go over it in this video." Why? Why not go over the loot across the whole map in your "LOOT GUIDE"? It seems lazy. Viewers come specifically to those videos to learn the loot on the map, and you basically only showed them a small section of it.

On the Meta 7.62 Lowest Recoil video a couple weeks ago, you didn't even shoot the thing in the firing range. When that was pointed out, you dismissed it as there being no point in showing it because everyone has different stats. This is a blatant cop out and makes no sense, and I think you know it because you did go and show some firing range the 5.45 AK video. If "everyone has different stats" is an acceptable reason for not showing that recoil, then why show footage during your FPS and performance increase videos – everyone has different rigs, so it shouldn't matter right? Why not just accept the criticism on the first video and say that you forgot and you'd include it in the next one?

This will probably be dismissed, ignored, or given some sarcastic comment about being too long or nitpicking or hate engagement or whatever and that's fine, but IMO the quality here has been falling and it's not looking like that's changing much, and more worryingly, Vox seems to be showing that he's not interested in legitimate criticism that could improve his videos.

  3. If you are losing a massive amount of frames when ads'ing using ranged scopes, try making sure HDR is actually turned off in your windows files. Go to My Documents > Escape From Tarkov and right click the local.ini file to edit with notepad. Scroll down and change the # next to 'HDR' to a 0 if its still at 1, make sure to save and careful about this getting reset again if you change settings in-game after.

  4. The thumbnail doesn't make any fuckign sense. Like good on you for helping community and stuff. Saw your comment on the other one as well. But you literally put a sniper, with a big scope, have the words SCOPED FPS. And show us a solution that MIGHT better our FPS. But it still doesn't have anything to do with using a scope. Anyway would be a good idea to avoid this in the future

  6. This didn't do anything to help with my FPS drops when scoping, as I expected it wouldn't. And I agree with some of the other comments that you shouldn't add stuff to the defender exceptions unless you have a good reason to do so. You never know when someone might hack BSG and make the launcher distribute malware. Unlikely, but still possible.
