Sammi would be best for the cafe. If you have someone work in a store they don't like you likely won't make as much money cause tourists will be unhappy. To find out who would be best for a shop, check in the villager tab and look for the villager with an icon of the store and a BIG rectangle box around it. Also can't wait for them to add a Sort inventory button and a Stack button. Trying to sort inventory with a controller is insane.
To transmit items from backpack to storage try either Right Click or Shift Right Click. I can't recall which one specifically though.
When you craft on the machines you don’t need the materials in your pockets, it pulls from the chest automatically. 😊
