THIS ONE TRACK WE COULDN'T DRIVE! Steep, Rocky & Slippery 4WD TRACKS – Fun in the Vic High Country

Walhalla absolutely turn’s it on with the tracks and conditions. The was the 1st time having to winch a hill climb since having the front locker installed. Both the Gu and y62 were no match for it and it was great to see the difference in winches from the 12v Low Mount winch vs 24v High Mount GigglePin.
Its such a great area of the Victorian High Country with so many tracks to explore from Mild to Wild. lock it in 4×4 and get out there Offroad and check it out for your self!

  1. Moisture on that orange clay, always a signal for zero traction. I was surprised at how compromised the 62 was in downhills. High gearing means you are on the brakes and locking wheels. Can get a bit iffy. I never understand what the rush is when winching, it's not a race. Slow and steady allows you or your buddy to check the tackle as you go. Fast line speeds mean that when shit brakes, you have no time to pick up on it before it lets go. I have seen fast winches pull cars over onto roofs before the driver has time to realize balance has been lost and can't react quick enough to correct the error.
