  1. my sense is that for the mist spirit, you're supposed to use your slow move/gathers pretty often, and on your turn deal with stuff at fast speed, while moving stuff at slow to set up your defense for next turn — and when you leave behind invaders that weren't killed in your last defense, they give you value with the special ability

  2. Shroud is tough to learn dude! But once you get your head around it, it can be awesome. It's toward the bottom of a lot of folks' tier lists, but who cares about elite gamer tier lists, right? Personally, I think Shroud is a lot of fun; it's one of those Spirits that in the late games can suddenly say, "oh hey, my board is clear!", while everyone else is still sweating πŸ˜€

  3. A big fan of the game here.
Found out about it on Into the Breach forum, but here was my first contact with the gameplay proper.
Finding people to play with turned out to be a lot more reasonable task than I expected, too.

  4. Excited to see Spirit Island content, had no idea you played/were familiar, though I only found your channel somewhat recently.

Love the Jagged Earth content, lots of awesome spirits of crazy cards introduced. Shroud in particular is one of my favorite new spirits, but they're definitely tough to learn. Their horrid energy gain and unconventional game plan is a bit of a hurtle, but when they click, they're a lot of fun to play! They've got very solid fear generation and are one of the best spirits at dealing with horrendously built up lands thanks to their multiple "damage all invaders" effects. Though my favorite way to play them is with the Stranded aspect in Nature Incarnate, which feels like a straight up buff for them. It makes their shifting presence passive more straight-forward, and gives them the ability to isolate lands each turn.

Some of the other spirits introduced in the expansion are among my favorites, like Vengeance as a Burning Plague and Fractured Days Split the Sky. Lots of spirits that break conventions and can pull off some absolutely insane shit. Would love to see more games of Spirit Island on the channel, exploring the new content and just playing some of your favorites!
