This Game Is BRUTAL! – The Long Dark Wintermute [Episode 1 Part 1]

Today we are playing The Long Dark for the very first time and let me just say right now.. it did not go too well, ha! This game is a lot more brutal than I was expecting and I am excited to get further into the story and see if we can survive longer than 5 minutes!

This is my first video like this that I have ever recorded and edited. I am very happy with how this turned out and it will only get better from here!

  1. safety warning! If you too find yourself with something lodged through your hand, or anywhere else – dont pull it out! Ideally put some cloth around it and leave it in to reduce blood loss. there are ways of removing it, but dont do it how its done in game. Also great video, sorry about the info dump XD

  2. This looks so much more brutal on pc than PS4! When I sleep at the crash sight I wake up with warmth whereas you don't? Also the eye is how tired you are the lower it is the less you can carry. Great first episode can't wait for more!

  3. Great video. It reminded me of the first time I played the long dark. It's a fantastic game that can take a long time to master but is very rewarding as you learn and progress. You can melt snow and then boil the water in the empty tin can you have. Select 'Cook' on a fire or stove and then select the tin can, then select 'water' and the amount you want to prepare. To make enough water to have for a while you'll need to pickup firewood so look out for sticks as well as the firewood you were picking up. The sticks look like little Ys with white tips. Make sure you only drink potable water (boiled water) otherwise you may get ill with dysentery from drinking unsafe water. Lots to learn but i hope you enjoy the journey. Looking forward to the next episode.
