****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

I grew up with parents who loved drama at home, at church, at work with friends and family. There wasn't one calm day. They pushed and controlled in EVERYTHING. I remember how much of their time and energy it took. They were always going and doing with an endless list! How they had NOTHING left at home after giving 110% everywhere else. How they shouted and ranted and then ignored most everything going on with the kids growing. No quiet conversations to talk over the troubles of life ever. The kids are watching and the example they see leaves a large impression on their future decisions. I hear shouting here. I think it's still a work in progress? Or a bad mic. I feel the urgency to step-back was long overdue? Happy for you!
Thank you for your honesty and teaching spirits. I'm learning to slow down and prioritize myself as well. My mind still wants to do Everything but my aging body is telling me I can't. I am trying to recapture the enjoyment I once had in gardening. I have had to stop trying to make everything profitable but just have it be useful. I too want to plant flowers🥰 May God bless you both for passing on your experience and wisdom ❤
Thank you for this video! I am looking for a part-time job working from home that will allow me to get more done during the day and yet still have a steady income. I think this will help myself and my husband tremendously. It will allow me to get things done during the day that need to be done and have more time to focus on the two of us and God and what He wants for our lives. God bless from Texas 🙏
Very good video 😊
Take a break we all have to love you guys ❤
Thank you for sharing your experience.God bless you.
He must be smoking crack
We came to the same conclusion on our farm with pigs. We to are just going to buy 2 feeder pigs in the spring to Butcher in the winter. Thank you for your information. Love ya'lls channel! God bless
Wonderful words of wisdom. Glad you have discovered your priorities to keep you centered. You are a fabulous team!
Seem to remember saying that yall were stretching yourselves to thin. You're not a homestead anymore, you turned farmers.
Dunno why your video popped up in my feed. Stopped viewing yall a while ago
We love you guys. Thank you for sharing. I've learned so much from you both.
My solution to burnout was to start doing seasonal only, by thanksgiving every critter that eats goes in the freezer or to the sale barn, then I’m free to burn out of the showme state to a warmer place in January
the one that has always been clear to me is the amount of work you two do, including all the house chores. I'm not surprised that you get burn out! Take care
make sure you're there for you grandbabies.
Great video. Really makes me think!
Very well put and delineated.
Excellent, excellent video!!
Glad to see you guys again….I rarely see a thumbnail of you guys anymore….I figured you were so busy you didn't have time to do videos…. so take care and keep in touch…..
It's a lifestyle and not a hobby. ….
Life Balance….so important.
Husband hunts, and I preserve food. We both enjoy those roles!
One of your best ones yet. With age comes wisdom. Proud of you.
TAKE A VACATION!
I'm so proud of you guys. I think this is such an important message for homesteaders.
You guys showed us the sweet baby piglets so well. I will miss seeing the babies, but I totally get it. Love the way you guys think.
The two of you are amazing. But really I am not surprised sbout burn out. You needbto work on a holiday even if that means getting someone in to feed livestock in a slow period and not getting up until 10am for 2
solid weeks.
