  4. I have needy fruit trees in desert soil (very alkaline). Could I combine 5-1-1 fish emulsion and 0-10-10 liquid emulsion for flowers in order to feed both leaves and fruit? What is your opinion on that? Thanks for your clear and concise videos.

  5. Watch out with the fish emulsion. Rats or carnivore vermin think you have something dead they can eat under the soil, so they dig and dig to find a tender morsel only to not find it and ruin your crop.

  6. I used 2 to 3 caps for 2 gallons water ,and watered my plants in the yard, it turned most of them yellow, my mandavilla turned yellow, then brown and died.

  7. Do you use any minerals such as Azomite? Do you use any humic acid products such as Terra-vita sp90 along with the fish fertilizer? I have found those 2 products can increase yields on vegs and fruit/berries. If you have to sweeten the soil then lime is a good idea as it makes the nutrients and fertilizers even more available to crops. On fruit trees such as apples we always put a cup or so of borax around the drip line on them every 2 to 3 years to provide boron. There are studies that show the benefits of boron on apple orchards along the Columbia River in Eastern Washington. If you google boron and avocado you will see that it is required to get good yields in them as well. I see it is used for mangos and citrus trees around the world,as well. Foliar applications are usually applied with dormant oil sprays to kill over wintering insects in cold climates.

  8. Great video! Great tips! I love Dale❤ I had a Shiba Inu male dog years ago and every squeaky dog toy I would get him, he would shake it and then rip out the squeak box everytime. 😂 It's those hunting instincts.

  9. Both products contains salts. To us when we hear the word salt we think of Sodium Chloride which is table salt (miracle gro doesn’t have that). However the word salt to a scientist or a chemist means the compounds of an element, for example let’s take Iron, Iron is a metal but you don’t find a block of iron inside the bag of fertilizer, what’s in the bag of the fertilizer is the salt or the compound of the element. Under this definition both organic and synthetic contains salts. The only differences between organic and synthetic are that one is immediately available to the plant and the other has to discompose first (which u mentioned in this video) and the second difference is that organic improves soil aggregation (in the ground only) and synthetic doesn’t. The reason why it improves soil aggregation in the ground only is because most potting mix or better said soilless mix doesn’t contain sand, silt and clay which are needed for soil aggregation. Awesome video by the way. I’m also in NC Zone 8a near Fort Bragg. Been watching your channel for some time now. Huge fan. Hope one day we can meet and talk gardening bro.

  10. Last year I started using a combination of Fish and Seaweed, and also Worm Tea on my lawn and flower gardens which I mix together and apply with a batterie-operated sprayer, all from Petra Tools. As far as I can tell, they work great. This year I've had to mow my lawn every 3 to 5 days and my shrubs and flowers are larger and fuller. In fact, I now have earthworms in my lawn which I never had for the first 7 years of owning this property.

  11. Adding an organic garden fertilizer to a bucket of water mixed with various fast composting nitrogen rich leaf matter will greatly excellerate the bio availability of organic fertlizer. Especially when sunlight and a circulating source of oxygen are added. It also helps to use well water because ooften times that watter comes from deep within the earth where the highest concentrations of minerals are often found. Sometimes we even add a teaspoon of sea salt to a 5 or 10 gallon bucket in addition to a cup or two of organic fertilzer. In less than 7 days you will have a super rich highly valuable water infused fertlizer that is uptaken very quickly by plants. Especially if plants are water during the overnight hours.

  13. You are my go to guy for gardening. You mentioned Fish Emulsion before and I have been using it ever since. My fig tree and tomatoes are out of the world. I just can’t put it on my potted plants because I did that once and wasn’t able to sit on my deck..
