  1. 2:16 honestly really tired of good players gatekeeping tech just to get an edge, the game is built around everyone having equal resources and tools

Thanks for always sharing what the "pros" won't

  2. It would be really random for them to fix something like this, I highly doubt people get cursed ball spammed in hourglass very often at all and if anything, wraith balls are much more of an advantage and they just upped the amount of those that you can get from the world event which makes me think they don't have a problem with things like that. By the time it takes you to get 5 pineapples from scuttle hopping you could probably just have sailed to the nearest sea fort and gotten a ton of good food by then anyways. Rare has must more important priorities than this, don't really see an issue with this at all. Hourglass needs more attention to get people playing it again

  3. i scuttle when the daily deed is play music while ship is sinking. Go uncaptain Solo Sloop ( so not to pay for repairs), scuttle, and then start playing. Easy gold and reown.

  4. I dont think they will patch this. The time it takes a sweat to change servers to get 5+ cursed cannonballs is the time I go to a fortress and get those supplies. At the end of the day, anyone can do that, so it is still a fair game.

  5. I found a way to duplicate 1 piece loot doing this as well. Have 2 ships in the same server then bury something until it has 1 bury left until it’s fully buried. Scuttle your ship and as soon as your about to disappear and go under water with your ship bury the loot and the second you bury the loot your friend on the other ship will dig it up. He will then have it on that server and you will notice that your map bundle hasn’t disappeared. When you go into the new server you will have the map bundle so you can go a dig it up. I did this with chest of fortune. Not really worth doing because you have to hit the timing almost perfectly to dupe it but still a cool duplication glitch to do. You don’t even have to dupe items you can fill up a storage crate then bury it until it has 1 left and as soon as your about to disappear you can bury it and it will come to the new server with you. P.S I hope the surgery went well. I have surgery in 2 days time because I am suffering from cancer so I hope mine goes well.

  6. Personally, i hope they come to consider this a feature as everybody has the oppertunity to do it, regardless of their money or skill. Leveling the playing field would simply be doing it yourself. In fact, if more people started doing this, I think it would make hourglass more entertaining than it currently is and combat a little more nuanced than who can lob the most accurate cannon balls the fastest or who can spawn camp the best

  7. There is a really op method too, maybe you didn't mention it, but if you dig a full of loot storage create and change seas, the storage creat will travel with you. But you will lose the map, so you should dig it somewhere easy to find.

  8. To be honest, I do hourglass, and I find boring hopping from server to server just to grind the right food or the right cannonball. You can get more cursed by going to a skelly fleet and usually in big island with loots of barrels or sea forts you can find more pineapple that you can eat before sinking. The time spent to collecting resources has to be proportioned to your confidence in not being sunk first fight

  9. no "pvp sweat" uses curse balls to begin with (the people who do are wannabe's or don't even try to sweat), i guess it's good content but it's honestly not a big deal

  10. Jon Bardcore: You may have noticed I left out one particular supply from that particular mix
    Me: BAIT!
    Jon: Cursed Cannonballs
    Me: That works too…

  11. To save you 8 minutes: You can now choose to scuttle and change servers, which puts you on a new server but you keep your inventory. So you can take good food, 5 chains, and OP cursed balls to new servers and abuse them. Wow!

  12. I doubt this will be removed from the game.
It is by all means not too overpowered at all. Farming bottle quests like this is probably not efficient enough to make a significant impact on the time it takes to get those merchant commendations. And well for the curse balls part, well if a crew wants to farm curse balls they are going to do it either way, hell there is even more efficient methods then this, so I really doubt this would be a priority thing for Rare to address.
I would also like to partially dispute the claim that many sweats use this method to farm curse balls and that they would like to keep this a secret. Yes some sweats do farm cursed balls, but when they do its usually with skeleton ships and not like this. Additionally the use of curse balls is actually frowned upon by many good players. Anyone can stock up on 15 ballast balls and use them to win galleon hourglass. Its not really the biggest show of skill to sink someone using cursed balls. When my crew and I have dived for hourglass and we realize that we have a good fight on our hands (as in not fighting cheaters & also not traffic cones) we won't use cursed balls unless our enemy does first. As far as I can tell this sentiment is shared by many other crews.
That is of course not to say that you can't use cursed balls: by all means if you want to curse spam go ahead, we just won't do and instead choose to have good and fair fights.

  13. the checkpoints are not really bad because a player would have to reach the checkpoints first, it just means they can do multiple endings quickly afterwards, i dont think many people would scuttle for cursed balls when you can find a rowboat with a couple in and sometimes even 2 at an outpost. its hard enough trying to scuttle or leave and join servers to find a fof most of the time TESTED this out and after 3 scuttles i have 2 pineapples and 1 limpball.

  14. Pretty sure (most) everyone already knows this, especially the inventory part, including rare. It's not a big deal imo, just another way to trade your time for supplies.
Also, I know you need to farm watchtime as a youtuber but this video could've easily been 2 minutes.

  15. Yeah I've seen players abuse these exploits and it put me off of the game from the beginning of season 9, it sucks when all a crew needs to do is steal the most valuable chest, bury it and scuttle
