  1. 15:30 That Shinigami only said that he was wanting to check out what Ryuk was doing, he didn't mention dropping his Death Note and having someone pick it up, but that does open up the door for the possibility others that in the past have dropped their books and are still around on earth who is attached to a person who agrees with Light's ideals

  2. lol yea, be prepared for all the women to fawn over Light. I do agree there should be more back and forth, chess moves. It feels like the writer sometimes gets lost in his masculine power fantasy sometimes, forgetting that he needs a have a compelling story and then his editor says "hey wtf are you doing" and then we get an episode like this.

  3. quick note: Light does not employ Ryuk. Ryuk is a GOD of death, immortal, God only knows how old…. Light owes Ryuk nothing other then perhaps a hearty fuck you for ruining his life by dropping that book in front of him, irresponsibly. (and then laughing as he commits mass genocide when he could stop him… technically Ryuk is just as at fault as Light is for Kira's murders, if not MOREso, honestly….)

  4. Lights sister and Mom are so encouraging because they have been listening in when light goes on his Rants they know hes Kira and believe in his cause. His mom was quick to take out the Trash(evidence) and get rid of it.

  5. quick note: Light does not employ Ryuk. if anything, it's the other way around. Ryuk is enlisting Light to do his job for him, for the sake of his own entertainment. Light owes Ryuk nothing other then perhaps a hearty f you for ruining his life by dropping that note in front of him, irresponsibly (also going to point out that he could stop it at any time, but instead… he laughs. Ryuk is honestly more at fault then Light is. plus there all the people that Light would've helped with his big brains that just… don't get that. Light was one of Japan's up and coming best and brightest, remember.)

  6. Oh, it's important to note, the second book that was mentioned is on Ryuk's belt, he pointed it out to Light in an episode before the actual mention of a second book by the other shinigami. He tricked the "Old man" into giving him a second one so that when he dropped his book, he wouldn't be stuck without a book while attached to a human.

  7. It is the kind of the point that Light is such an all around great guy (from an outside observer's perspective). The people Kira is killing are people that society doesn't care about and that there is a big population of supporters of Kira killing while they ignore the fact that these are human lives.

Light is the kind of guy the police would never look at. He's a top student, a minor athlete, a chick magnet, his family loves and supports him. "This guy doesn't have a reason to be a killer" thinks the average investigator. It's the same thing that got both of the Pembers killed. Light having this model citizen persona is his shield, it's the only reason why he isn't caught almost immediately. Light ISN'T clever, he's decently smart but he makes dumb play after dumb play. He's rescued by the fact that people look at him and assume someone that good looking from a good home couldn't have done it.

  8. Before I share this tid bit, I'm sorry in advance. So another reason to hate light for this whole past few episodes. Light didn't just kill ray penber. He made him write in the book. Ray is a death note user. So his soul can't go to heaven or hell, however Naomi he killed with the book without her touching it. So their souls are forever seperated.

  9. I know it doesn't make it better but they did clarify the only ones to watch the tapes were L and cheif Yagami. The rest of the task force did the observing on the other family, which L also oversaw. And, while allowing anyone to see those tapes is still shitty of the chief, at least we know that L was really more interested in Light
