  1. So you gonna steal a whole culture and not even mention the name! You know you watched a recipe online and it's not called crispy rice. You know what it's called. Also, that's not how you parboil rice. You overcooked it, and then cooked it again to overcook it even more. Saffron is not from middle east. It's from eastern parts of Iran, and naturally western parts of Afghanistan. Not any other middle eastern country, so don't just name drop a whole region! Give some respect and credit to culturus and cuisines you make videos and money out of. Rip off kinda guy! Have a great night/day.

  2. When you applying Saffron directly to the meat, it hardly give it full potential. If you first grind some Saffron and put it in a bowl with ice cube and let it sit on a double boiler or bain marie, you can get 100% of Saffron extract, and you can use that to marinate the stake, which gives a wonderful taste to it.

  3. Saffron has been a highly praised ingredient ever since the Middle Ages, not just for food, but also a dye. One English King (can't remember which one) is known for wearing yellow clothes dyed entirely with saffron. The reason it's so expensive is because how hard it is to harvest. To dumb it down, saffron comes from a specific part of the plant that has to be harvested at a very small window of opportunity during it's cultivation process, any sooner and it won't be ripe enough, any longer and it'll be too dry to be usable, you get very little saffron per plant and the plant is difficult to cultivate to begin with. (Please correct any information I might've gotten wrong)

This was full IRAN video lol, saffron or zafferoon as we call is the main souvenir from IRAN, fun fact: it has anti depressant qualities, we brew it with tea, on kebabs, or the dish you showed but we use chicken fillets instead of bacon, here we have a desert which is vanilla ice cream infused with saffron with bits of dry cream and pistachio in it you put 2 scoops in a small glass of fresh carrot juice, BOOM its out of this world :))))
