This demonstrates exactly what I've been thinking for a while. Ottomans aren't really underpowered all that much. They just need a ton of Mehters with them. Jannisarries are weak, but not when they've got 25% extra attack speed. Spahi's fortitude becomes extra powerful when you combine them with mehters.

I just realized I had NEVER seen the Janissary attacking in detail.. they melt SO FAST in a real battle, and are so USELESS… Glad I was able to see Jans attack a House and a Barracks (!!) against "easy-AI Sanpascas"
