PlayStation 5 can play nearly all PS4 games without issue. In fact it normally boosts the performance and they play better than ever. But there’s still a small selection of PS4 titles that when played on PS5, pose an issue. Between crashing, flickering, and bizarre graphical artifacts, let’s take a look at some of these games. In most cases you can’t do anything, but in others there are some potential fixes. So let’s go over that too! Maybe in a different video we can discuss all my favorite coffee syrups/creamers. The surge game goes funny but u can fix it in the settings it gets a blue film over it
Senran Kagura Estival Versus also has issues. The skin on the characters flickers the whole time during gameplay.
I'm not sure this is a good or bad thing but bro your PlayStation 5 has PC problems. That's a graphics driver issue on Sony's part that's due to the emulation software faulty update or a bad graphics card. But I really doubt that is a bad graphics card. I think that the software just needs to be updated. I have some of these games and I've never seen those problems. I don't know if I were you. I would just factory reset or simply uninstall the games and reinstall that doesn't work. Then factory reset might do it or you could just reinstall the latest update from PlayStation's website.
Hey, just a follow up from what I said. If none of those things work, I would contact Sony about getting you yourself a free repair because there's definitely something going on with your PlayStation 5. In fact, the only problem I've ever encountered while I'm transferring to PlayStation 5 was when I changed my PlayStation account name, The only game that had an issue was bloodborne and it was in the big deal. It just uploaded my old save file instead of the new one and I had to play through the hunters nightmare again which is all good because I spend a lot of time on the game and it's no thing beating that s*** again.
I noticed Mass Effect Andromeda has some texture flickering and flickering dots on the map.
As you go to the map on the ship there's a blue light overhead that flickers also.
Is that because of emulation bugs?
I've a load of PS4 games to play.
If there's bugs on nearly every one I'd probably be better off just playing them on PS4 instead.

I'll also note that Uncharted 1 is extremely crash-prone for me similarly even on PS4, I suspect this might secretly be why it's not streamable with PS+ Premium (because it'll crash the remote server). It might be tied to the pre-order DLC which you can't opt out of having installed if you own.
I think Mafia 3 is also pretty broken visually, if you do a follow-up video in future.
It is strange The Warriors runs great on my PS5. I do not see any flicker.
I've also noticed crashes in Star wars battlefront if you hold r1 it will scroll the the pages and the PS5 loads it too fast to the point it will crash. Same thing in black ops 4 when scrolling through calling cards
I played Uncharted and i don't think i had 1 single crash in the whole game.
PS exclusive games when it has "collection" tag, it's always do something funny. Same thing happened with God of war collection. It froze in pandora temple after the cutscene in God of war 1 on ps3.
No matter what I do, I was never able to get past that.

I know on Battlefield 4 during an online match when you go on settings to change your sensitivity. The game can crash and close.

My uncharted collection does not even work at all. Disc versions.
Sleeping Dogs gives me that bad performance message.
I had no problem with the ND Collection and also no problem with SotC
I noticed something with my PS5, like for example i was looking at a friends profile on my ps5, & was scrolling through the games list & suddenly the list just disappears, & everything on the profile just blanks out & it causes my system to freeze up to the point where only the quick menu would work, but buttons wouldn’t respond or anything & I couldn’t move the background so the only option was to reset the console. This has happened like 2 or 3 times since I got my PS5 back in June. And it’s always when looking at someone’s profile or their friends list etc…it always will just randomly start acting weird & freeze up on me, & that’s all I’m doing. I’ve never heard anyone els talk about this before.

Ive had my ps5 for over a year and ive had zero problems with backwards compatibility. I play the games that are pictured in the thumbnail all the time too.
sad how the ps2 games run on this, though even on PS4 they were never great examples of emulation. I played ape escape 3 early this year on my series x of all things, it would be nice if sony put more care into BC of older titles pre-ps4

Hi, Need for Speed (2015) also shows that message you get "you might experience unexpected game behavior etc…". I only played a little just to see how the game looked and it crashed not so long ago after having started to drive I think. I'll probably try again to see where the error occurs. Anyway, this video is interesting cause Sony never speaks about these problems while players should be warned about this.
That's why I didn't store away my PS4.
Burnout Paradise Remastered on my PS5 keeps crashing on me what a shame. I tried it on Xbox Series and no crashing whatsoever.
Two years after release, you STILL can't buy a PS5 in stores or from a legitimate online retailer, Sony can't meet manufacturing quotas to supply demand, they allow scalpers to buy up their product and act as middlemen to sell to actual consumers at at least a 150% uptick because they don't care where their money comes from, backwards compatibility barely works and there are NO EXCLUSIVES because every major game (Horizon, God of War, etc.) goes multi-platform. Apparently there are still people willing to jump through hoops to pay $800 for a paperweight for the pleasure of paying another $70 for a crappy rogue-like and a remake of Demon's Souls, which was and still is shit, so why make any changes or improvements, I guess.
Mafia 3 gives that message but I’ve never noticed anything wrong with the game
Yet another reason I have more love for my Series X than I do my PS5. I don’t regret buying either one but Sony has disappointed me a ton.
Hellblade also has a warning and the game doesn't even appear on the PS Store if you look for it on a PS5, it does on the PS App, though.

Think ive seen issues like what syndicate has, primarily through emulation.
Raging Blast 1 and 2 have a minor version of that on Xenia (x2 resolution only) with a black box underneath the character models if they stand on the ground. RB2 is just a black box aproximately the size of the models hitbox
