Snarky Thought of the Day #384 Life #life #travel #driving #thoughts #channel #shortsyoutube #real

When I have a long-distance drive ahead of me, I like doing it overnight.

The highways are less crowded; you can move a little quicker… The sun isn’t beating down on you, or your dashboard (which is especially nice in summer)…

It’s just more pleasant.

Unless, of course, you’re in the middle of a blizzard.

Which, actually, I don’t think I was.

The precipitation was light on January 6, 2024, but the wind? Oh, that was something else.

I’ve seen my fair share of accidents over the past twenty years; I’ve seen more than a handful of deaths, as well. Cars so mangled you know no one walked away from it.

When you’re alone in your car, with nothing but the thoughts inside your noggin to keep you company, seeing death makes you reflect on life.

Who you are, how you treat others, how you can be a better person.

You like to pretend that everyone would respond to death in a similar fashion, but man…

Sometimes you are brutally reminded that self-reflection is a trait many people do not have.

There are moments I wonder what goes through their head, and then I see certain comments peppered in the section below articles, videos, or posts online. That’s when I remember, “Oh, right. Those are the people who don’t have introspection, intelligence, or kindness in them.”

What an interesting way to go through life.

Of course, as Annie Savoy explained, “The world is made for people who aren’t cursed with self awareness.”

Must be nice.

  1. I bet u encountered that pesky hard to find curvature of the earth on your journey. U know the one that engineers have to take into account when laying railroad tracks and building the world's longest bridges.

I hated pleading to help ignorance…
    …but "delusionals" were the worst..
I saw in a documentary that 1-3% of people are socio-destructive and that 15% aren't overall capable of socio-positive outcomes (by mental/learned capacity).
It accounts for things like criminals, and the unemployed.
