We finally got a name and launch date for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from the latest Nintendo Direct. This anticipated game is coming out in May of 2023 and we honestly don’t know a lot about this upcoming game. Is it possible that we could be seeing a Zelda Direct in the future?

I know this is what you really intending, but I hope Nintendo sees this video and be convinced. Otherwise you are speaking to the choir only. I was fine with breaking weapons, it was an upgrade on the Wind Waker system of stealing weapons. Breath of the Wild really needed Under Water Swimming and Fishing with a Fishing pole as a method to go fishing. Shock arrows, bombs, stealth swimming were nice options to go fishing but it be so cool to dive under water for them or just pull out the old fishing pole and calmly fish.
What a great video. You have my like and my suscribe. Greetings from El Salvador.
I don't understand how botw and totk isn't nintendos biggest IP. To me it seemed like botw was already their most tripple A experience.
I think it's still possible to announce them in October, and release them in November/December.
Remember when they released Wind Waker and you got OoT Master Quest just for pre-ordering? Impossible to think of Nintendo doing that today, but man could you imagine if they did that with either WW or TP?
I'm hoping for an end of year zelda direct with announcements of the ww and tp ports in 2024/2025, and the announcement of the Switch Pro along gameplay footage of TotK
Everyone stop getting your hopes up for the remakes. I hate getting my hopes up & y’all are getting my hopes up. So we need to stop 😂
I'm patient. One like me, especially with the release date, I could wait until the game drop while playing other stuff.
I will spend that money for the remake and another 70 for OoT
Most anticipated in recent memory? I'm a huge Zelda fan but I will be the first to admit this is definitely incorrect. The game has been in such shadow and behind closed doors that there hasn't been anything to really build that anticipation. It's not like BOTW's campaign where it's the first HD Zelda and first open world one as well. It's not a huge new game in the veign of "we haven't seen this before". It's very clearly a BOTW2 still.
I expect nothing more about Zelda this year tbh. At best, i can see another TotK Trailer dropping at the Game Awards.
I think you people need to relax on Nintendo. They are already pushing out all types of Games from other consuls to the switch. The pandemic really ruined a lot of people and Nintendo had to shut down production offices around the world. Like get over it
Nintendo doesn't need to do anything in order to sell this game in millions of copies.
Yeah my question is also, just what the heck is Nintendo planning with twilight princess and windwaker HD. those games should have been ported ages ago, and yet Nintendo seems to not even want to awknoledge those Zelda games even when everyone is asking for them. Which makes me wonder…. What if the reason these Zelda games are not releasing any time soon (including tears of the kingdom) it's because Nintendo is upgrading them for a next generation switch console or a switch Pro. Simply bringing twilight princess to the switch is not going to be "hype" since we know exactly what to expect. So maybe Nintendo is simply holding them back for major graphical upgrades on a more powerful Nintendo console. I'm also sure Nintendo will still cross release them for the base Nintendo switch.
Why do people think theres going to be a switch pro?.
Those ports are never coming back guys 🙁 im gonna emu them on the PC xd
only game I can see that is Zelda Related that may come out is Zelda 4 Swords, GREAT GAME and its enough to enjoy it on the Switch
youtube still calls it the sequel to BOTW lol
I'm not sure I buy into these ideas that selling Wind Waker and Twilight Princess would be printing money with no downside. How excited is the general public to play these games on the Switch? That is the question, and I don't mean avid Zelda fans, I mean Joe Sixpack. If the excitement isn't there, sure the release would make a little money in the short-term, but it may cannibalize future Zelda releases by removing some of the hype and excitement associated with Zelda games.
To be clear, I'm not claiming that the excitement wouldn't be there, I don't have this marketing insight and data.
Sadly Nintendo would only be porting one not a bundle essentially since they could sell for $60 each like Skyward sword did.
2011: Zelda Skyward Sword Wii and Zelda Ocarina of time 3D
2013: Zelda Wind Waker HD and Zelda A Link Between Worlds
2015: Zelda Majoras Mask 3D and Zelda Triforce Heroes
2023: Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Zelda Wind Waker HD and Zelda Twilight Princess HD in a double pack or separately (very unlikely) or
2023: just Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and nothing else (very likely)
I would have thought it was obvious at this point that the addition of OoT and Majora’s Mask to NSO would count as maintaining Nintendo’s apparent commitment to yearly Zelda releases. Can’t see Wind Waker / Twilight Princess HD coming to Switch for another year or two after the release of Tears of the Kingdom – if at all.
Zelda is so underated. Whenever I tell a person I meet. They dont know what is zelda and I live in denmark.
People be like ´´ OHH SPIDER MAN REMASTERED!! on the ps5 which I cannot afford anyway“
But Zelda… They ASK ME… WHAT IS THAT? 🥲
Come On nintendo!! HYPE FOR THE GAME!!!! Show us All the cool stuff, I know they have it xD JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE.
Really.. Loyal Zelda fans wating patiently for years, And Still So little infomation..
Will I Get my boat or fishing rod xD ??? I dont care about that bird, I wanna Fish, I want Co-op Couch/online where its possible to play link and zelda in a co op adventure, Fishing together 🤩🤩🤩
I feel like IF we get a direct, (just Zelda) I feel like it might drop in March, for the anniversary of BOTW
I really hope they get rid of the broken weapon mechanic. That was a huge turnoff for me as a long time fan of the series. Just my opinion
They really dont need to build any hype for this game hahaha. its gonna sale like crazy. But they will do a full reveal when they are ready.
Waiting eight month is roughy and long way to smile weres the love between zelda and link
It sucks because I never got to play twilight princess or wind waker 😢😢😢😢 I NEED them so bad I love Zelda so so much
Zelda was done dirty during the anniversary year. Though I love skyward sword and the special edition controllers, other IPs got multiple special announcements during their year.
I want Ocarina of Time HD
I'm happy that they did not show too much of the game. It will keep people hype about the game and people will keep wondering what the story might be. What I sometimes hate about the game trailers… sometimes they show too much to the point they spoil the story…. cough kingdom hearts 3….
Feb or Jan direct
Honestly if it's anything like BotW it will be a hard pass for me. I've beat every zelda game that has come out but honestly BotW has been the least enjoyable.
“I’m an entitled soft new generation gamer that is never happy with what anyone gives me I wish Nintendo just gave me the fucking game for free at this point” this new generation of gamer is so fucking pathetic I just want to punch all of them. Learn patience you soft assholes. Good things come to those who wait. Be appreciative not entitled
I need oracle of seasons and ages to be remade just like link's awakening.
We deserve the zelda direct in october with the TP WW doublepack considering the complete and utter lack of attention it got for its anniversary
I think it’s delusional to expect a Zelda direct now. If they release TP and/or WW it will be a shadow drop trailer.
totk trailer at the game awards, and a zelda direct in march. maybe a specific one for totk in april instead
I'm fine with waiting. That means it'll be finished. How quickly we all forget the game devs are 2 years behind. We would've already had this if it weren't for the world pandemic.
I agree with all you said, except a Nintendo direct is not how Nintendo makes their most profits from advertising. Nintendo direct is for die hard Nintendo fans. They will use commercials, social media ads etc.
I think 2-3 months before the full release they will do a Demo for Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and it all definitely be a major buy for Nintendo
Imagine if TP is released on 4 consoles in a row 😭
