Great review as always..
Lots of great scenes in this one, but the Avon/Marlo conversation stood out. It proved Avon was still the REAL King of the streets. I wanted to see Avon get a little more than 100 large from Marlo, but as you said, one step at a time. Up to this point, we’ve seen Marlo lead, order a lot of hits and get advice from Prop Joe and Chris. Is Marlo a GREAT leader? I’m gonna wait until it’s time before I REALLY go in on Marlo, but after rewatching this up to this point, my opinion of Marlo has somewhat changed, I’ll leave it at that.
As for the Westside sticking together comment from Avon, I believe he was playing Marlo with that. If given the opportunity, I believe he’d still try to take Marlo out, but Marlo is in a position to help his sister.
