  1. I think this deck is stronger than you played it and could be tuned. Gifts seems like a good card for coffers whether you go 5 colors and life from the loam or not. The triomes were definitely a game design mistake makes domain trivial. Worm harvest is bad, you have coffers and gifts, 2 different ways of getting big fatties into play, archon or iona stabilise when you're behind, unlike cut to ribbons, or worm harvest.

  2. This deck harkens back to this old ass Travis Woo brew trying to make Spellweaver Helix work. One of the versions he was on was a 4 color Gifts list with Gifts for Iona/Elesh Norn/Wurmcoil + Rites as a sideboard plan, but the main was using Gifts to setup Spellweaver Helix + some massive sorcery with a bunch of recursive spells to reliably trigger it. The key cards were Dismember (Fatal Push wasn't printed yet), Lingering Souls, Loam, Raven's Crime, Thoughtseize, and Wurm Harvest. It was a heinous pile, but it was also my first paper Modern deck.
