  1. Just one question: did he actually have the money to pay for the debt he had for the accommodation? As he went missing right before that deadline, this is crucial. If he actually did not have enough money, suicide is suddenly very likely. If he did actually have that money, it makes the timing and prep even more odd (it seems off that he messaged her but did not address that topic of leave her the money on the counter or sign the cheques or however these things work).

  2. This is just awful! How can this poor young man be completely let down by law enforcement and all involved in saying it was a suicide 💔 there's something very wrong with the system that are supposed to keep us safe. There is definitely foul play with all the other information 😢 thoughts are with his family and loved ones ❤️

  3. The binoculars found on him sticks out to me. Because of the Blood moon, I’m thinking someone in that house suggested to go to the lake to look at it and that’s why he had the binoculars.

  4. Police always try to closed a case right away because of all the time and money that goes into investigation. You have to constantly be on their cases to get them to do anything at all. Its even worse if you are a person of color, they does nothing at all.

  5. Maybe he was an informant and someone found out and killed him. That also would explain his frat brother reaction. They could have been responsible but I think it is more likely that they found out after he died and they didn’t want anyone to think they were also informants so they were down playing their connection to him. It is so sad and I hope his family gets answers

  6. Bloomington is a creepy area. I lived there for one year and moved out. There is so much forest like land on the outskirts. Such a creepy area. Lots of problems with their Greek life, cops are sketch too.

  7. I don’t underfund what Joseph possibly being a PD would have to do with this manner of death? Seems more likely that it was frat hazing or something

  8. 35:45 I see every kind of face in that crowd, black white, asian american, old and young; all come together with a purpose, albeit a sad one.
It is a beautiful and bittersweet picture, and very inspiring of how things can be someday. If we as a society will ever learn to come together to face problems, instead of turning on one another., what kind of world would that look like?
I am so sorry they lost their friends. I am so sorry for Joseph. and his friends and family. I pray for you all.

  9. How can they not hand over his belonging to the family if they are so sure its suicide? Theres no open investigation> So I dont see the reasoning
It is just illogical to think that he committed suicide.

  10. Could they get a handwriting specialist in? I know when I would help my mom write letters from elves to my younger brother (in his Santa believing days) I would always use my left hand (I’m right handed) to make it look sloppy and not like one of us could have done it! The frat brothers aren’t sitting right with me. It seems someone in his circle had something to do with this. But why?

  11. I know it's a different country but I've had my oldest and youngest brothers die of self inflicted … deaths… (I guess we're calling it now.) I'm in new zealand and not long before my oldest brother's death, a friend's nephew in australia had also died of self inflicted. the parents went to the police to gather his belongings and they were even handed back the rope!!! I reached out my my middle brother immediately and told him to go to the police here cos I didn't want mum and dad possibly being handed back all the belongings, including the damned rope. So to me, having a ruled 'self inflicted' death and not getting back EVERYTHING that's a personal belonging found at the scene is wild. Why do they feel they can keep his phone and laptop?!

  12. I audibly growled at the sleezy lawyer part. My dad was killed in a hit and run by the city bus company. My mom hired a lawyer mostly to get information and this slime ball did the EXACT SAME THING. Pacifying my mom until the day of the court case and then just not showing up. He apparently forgot and had a vacation planned that day. The absolute defeat and hopelessness in her face that day still sticks with me and made the whole situation of losing my dad way worse because I basically lost mom after that too. Lawyers like this make me so unbelievably angry.
