The single biggest update the Steam Deck has ever seen. (It's massive!) Plus other Deck news.

The Steam Deck has been upgraded with the single largest update since its release. This is a release that’s chock-full of new features and fixes. I couldn’t be more excited. Plus there’s other Deck news as well!

  1. Can we use a Bluetooth headset with built-in mics yet? I have a headset that wouldn't let me use the built-in mic and was very disappointed it didn't work right because of the Bluetooth implementation.

  2. Problem is, they have messed up with the performance of some heavy games like Witcher 3, rdr2, forza 5, gtav due to a vram problem, or at least its what it looks like, so i advice you to not update until they fix it.

  3. The most important thing that I didn't see is updates to the "base" system (kernel, DE, etc.) Because both of them are terribly outdated… And they should make it that people can change the language of desktop mode (currently impossible (at least trough the GUI)… Sadly enough…)

  4. Seeing all these Steam OS updates makes me excited for when Valve finally decides to make a proper release for desktop. Can't wait to finally make the complete switch to Linux instead of dual booting.

  5. Archlinux grewing is a news on it's own… Are those new users informed that arch is next to gentoo the most punishing linux ? Normally the non automated instalation should have informed them pretty well no ?
