  1. All I can think when I see or hear trans people is stay the hell away from other people's children.

If y'all want that to change the way some people see you the ones that ain't trying to influence kids needs to stop the ones that are doing it I think that is most people's line in the sand.

  2. The amount of work and little details that went into the original RE4 are truly astounding. These kind of things usually went over my head when I played the game, so learning about this now deepen my respect for the team that worked on it hundredfold.

Thank you guys for your work on this video as well.

  3. Thats very interesting that the reason why RE4 was more focused on action than horror was because of the RE1 remake not doing well for sales. So they shifted it around and we got the most beloved title in the franchise.

  4. Imagine being so sensitive in this world they had to remove such benign lines from a video game lol. People are crazy these days. Oh well I guess. At least I still have the ps2 version

  5. @4:09 Who told you guys that in this game the villagers speak a Mexican dialect of Spanish? You won't find anyone who speaks like that in México or neither in Latin America, those folks don't speak Spanish from Spain neither too, all of them speak kind of Spanish, but the dialect or accent are unknown, I believe they speak what developers believed how Spanish is spoken in Spain.

  6. Yep, let's remove all suggestive language because lord knows people would never talk like that today… just keep on censoring.. it's always been obviously the right thing to do historically right?

  7. Now that I know the full details, it seems like those lines were cut from the VR version out of fear more than anything. It's especially concerning that a line where a woman expresses her own sexual autonomy was cut. I find it hard to think of anyone who will be offended by the idea of a woman coyly yet politely asking someone else if they want to hook up and see what happens, especially after the two people in question have been through a lot together.

  8. Cutting many of the flirtatious lines is detrimental to the females, as how can they be strong if they don't have something to stand up to? Ashley instantly shoots Luis down when he mentions her "ballistics" and Hunnigan tells Leon he's "still on duty" when he asks her out.
These women are strong and don't buckle to the traditional stereotype by giving in to male advances. If you remove the lines then you remove that part of their characters.

  10. Huh, the japanesse people think that spanish words mean other things make sense given that basically spanish and japanese "share" the same syllabes (phonetically speaking)

  11. Btw @spherehunter , I can almost 100% guarantee to you that he didn't play in a black and white TV, but in black and white with a colour TV.

Sometimes you'd get games in Brazil with the wrong video version for your PlayStation, PAL rather than NTSC, and then colours wouldn't be decoded properly.

  12. This narrator sounds like an AI that doesn't know the subtleties of languages and their pronunciation. It's horribly jarring…

Oh and those collectors who deliberately withhold material in order to keep its value high are grubs.

  13. Excellent video! But as a Brazilian, I feel obligated to add that, despite it not being your fault (nor your obligation to know any Portuguese) the way you pronounced "Ribeiro" on 7:23 was so off it felt a little mocking! It sounds more like "hee-bayro". I'm not surprised to learn that Save Room is a Brazilian game, given how successful RE4 was (and still is) here! Cheers to the amazing content as always, SphereHunter.

  14. Un-freaking-believeable. It's 2023, so we have to cut out someone saying "Hey, would you like to go out on a date?" and "You look cute." IN A GAME RATED "M" FOR MATURE.
If they have their way, it's going to be 100% illegal for people to flirt eventually. Thanks for confirming my choice to never buy the remake.
