The rescue horses get a visit from the vet power float and pregnancy ultrasound

Standardbred Grace and Rocky Mountain mare Hershey are off quarantine so it is time for a check up, dental float and since we suspected Grace might be pregnant a pregnancy ultrasound. The dental float takes sharp points down and helps a thin horse eat more comfortably. It is important to keep up with their dental health so they can eat and digest properly and are more comfortable carrying a bit. Most of our rescue horses have had their dental care neglected so we get this done first before they go back to riding.

  1. She looks less boney than she did when she arrived. 😊 If not pregnant, why the big tummy? Is she generally calm or is that just the sedation? It’s good to see her again, apparently getting healthier.
