  1. i think there are two things this video does very well: (1) the production is engaging; the viewer is constantly stimulated with flashy yet relevant visuals, which compliment what you are saying, and (2) you are able to clearly communicate the plot of a rather dense show in very few words — which is a feat in and of itself! my favourite part of the video, though, is near the end, when you have a section on the music. this is the most in depth you get in your analysis, and personally, it's the most interesting to me. it's where you as a reviewer really start to shine through. if i were to offer a word of critical feedback, it would be to further expand on this section: what are the hindi and aztec symbols? what do they tell us about the story? answering these questions will bring your review to the next level, and give the viewer more to consider. overall, good stuff!

  2. My take on the meaning of Ergo Proxy:

The main question of the series is "What is a human?"

And Ergo Proxy answers with 3 main characters, none of which are genetically human. Ergo is a proxy (superhuman), first Proxy born of 2 Proxies (Proxy One and Monad Proxy). Re-L is half pseudo-human (The Regent's DNA) half proxy clone of Monad, created by Daedalus. And Pino is completely a robot, an AutoReiv, created by a Proxy (IIRC).

By the end of the show you can really see that all three of them are very much human, especially the least probable one – Pino.

I find this to be the underlying theme of the show. There are a lot more philosophical questions posed by the show, of course. But this question poses a much bigger question "Is it okay to use, exploit, murder or in any other form decimate anything deemed "not human" (the way real humans did in the show)?" (and of course the way we do here on Earth).
