The Real Lost World: New Caledonia

“The Lost World” is often seen in media, in things like King Kong’s Skull Island, Jurassic Park, or your local Walmart. But there is an actual lost island out there, which harbors a diverse array of bizarre and unique species from ages past. The wonderful, but vulnerable, New Caledonia.

  1. great video and very interesting. although it got me heated to hear about people potentially ruining the island do to their greed through mining and negligence through the bringing of invasive species. i would've preferred people study the land first and see how the ecosystem has sustained itself over such a long time but, unfortunately, that's asking to much when it comes to humans 😔

  2. This constant destructive human intervention, from the bottom of my heart just makes me wish humanity was noble enough to allow its own extinction for the sake of all life, its as if our species is a child or a drug addict with no better judgment or self control, and chances are we really will face extinction, but by then the planet will go down with us, not deserving such
