  1. I think that people are conflating Colin Farrell's performance and the actual show.
His performance was excellent. However the show itself started off well but was uneven and lost momentum at times.
Ryder Allen, as the young Penguin was superb though. That scene in the dancehall ……terrifying.

  2. Never was I so impressed with a performance, no emmy would be an abomination.. Also for Sophia and Vic. Still can't get over the fact of the voice. Collin's normal voice is so different

  3. To be fair this series felt more like a comic book series that I read growing up. It had a def beginning and a end, no plot into the next series or movie, great fn job. Left us wanting more without going "what what just happened".

  4. this show broke my fucking heart. I hate to stop damn show. Best show ever, the writers did their job Colin Farrell did his job I don't want to sound mellow dramatic but I felt like this show when it ended took a piece of me with it I know that sounds weird, I knew that Oswald was a really bad guy Oswald, but what I forgot was that he was a villain there's a difference. I looked at the empathy that he seems to have had and he seemed to really want to be a man of the people and I guess I ended up with a false sense of not what he was going to become, but who he was who he is. I was so naive that I didn't even catch you on watching the episode when he locked his brothers in that overflow tunnel I made myself believe that it was kind of an accident that they died. wow, they, the writers, did exactly what they set out to do they made an amazing show they built an amazing cast of characters they did an amazing job of world building. when Vic got killed it literally made me sick at my stomach I was a grown ass man choking back tears. this was like the early years of game of thrones but better

  5. Vic was the heart of the show, and he was Oz's heart as well. Oz knew that Vic would hold him off the deep end whenever it would come to that. The moral compass. But you can't have a moral compass in an immoral world. That's why Vic HAD TO GO.

  6. Penguin is a 100% gangster. There are many many many Penguins out there. What Penguin did to Vic was par for the course. I always hated gangsters and wanna be gangsters.

Not even one movie or show was able to do that to me in almost 10 years.

  8. Most realistic diabolical villian ever created. The Penguin is more gangster than Goodfellas. The constant scheming and double dealing in criminal world has never been depicted as graphically and realistically and masterfully as this. Not even in gangster movies.
