캣츠아이 멤버들 댄스 가창력 실력이 좋아요
캣츠아이 한국의 태권도가 될수도 있고 양궁이 될수도 있어요 ?
기대할께요😊👍👍
one of the reasons, i appreciate hybe's expansion plans is because it takes off some pressure on bts. i dont expect every group to be bts level successful but they can be successful in their own way. if the other groups are even moderately successful with a decent fandom size thats dedicated to streaming the music, it give bts a lot of freedom to continue making the music they want and like. can you see any other korean label letting their artists release the kind of albums that bts have released as a group and solo artists?
i like bang's vision but sometimes i wonder if its too fast too soon. but i also understand that music industry is on the back foot because they refused to innovate for so long thats why you have companies like spotify making more revenue than the artists themselves. im cautiously optimistic about his vision. i feel out of a lot of executives in the music industry he has a lot of heart when it comes to dealing with artists. i know he wants to create a healthy atmosphere for artists and staff. i dont want him to lose that on the way of making hybe bigger. i hope artists and staff will always be the main priority.
for artists to create a bond with fans, first and foremost their music must connect with fans. if the music connects, im sure fans will be interested in other content as well. it all depends on the music. if all these hybe artists want to be artists for a long time then they have to focus more on the music. this should be something they want to do for a long time, only then will they find joy in making music.
another thing, i like about hybe is how they allow their artists to grow musically. they want artists to be more involved in the making process so it gives the artists more feeling of ownership to the music they put out. i know some artists produce and write or work in composition. if you want to learn, they will provide the means. if the artist is dedicated, they dont mind putting the money.
edit – im glad that jungkook didnt perform at the superbowl. i dont want him anywhere near usher – he is very very questionable. honestly, i wish bts never works with that sort of crowd again but sometimes they will have make decisions for their music that may not sit right with me, i'll support bts but not the other artist.
Katseye is not flopping.
아티스트 모두 완벽해요
어디서 이렇게 완벽한 생명체들을 찾았을까 싶어요
요즘 특히 TXT에 빠져 있어요^^
Katseye is not fighting. Were did you get that
One members of katseye is Korea
You no nothing about whst happened to justin unless he says something. And that is not scooter fault
None of this has anything to with bang.
Bang has always been transparent about hybe business.
Bang is a business. He is not greedy.
매일 바쁘시겠다~ 하지만 당신이 더 바빠지기를 바람😏💜
interesting article for sure but i didn´t understand why they would bring up mhj? even if it was a little risky to mention it also highlight mhj´s crime witch korean media has become masters at hiding. and they made sure to make nj seem caught in the middle witch they where but not anymore. but that leaves a gap because no matter how mhj story is turning out nj´s themself can be saved if hybe wants it. also important not to throw your artist under the bus witch hybe is not knows for doing. they also treat their employees good and hire more woman than other companies. they also pay their employee more than other entertainment agencies. so i dont agree that hybe only think of themself. yes they focus on stability witch is crucial if they want hybe to survive. Hybe provide many jobs for korean people. so i understand they are in a hurry to keep that going, when BTS has a short lifespan as he said. even if army would stay it will be less over the years as the members grow older and get married.
HYBE is going to be so big (best case scenario like SONY and Warner) cause Bang Sihyuk is a visionary. All the hiccups with min Heejin will just be a blip in our memories 10-20 years from now
Its not that bang pd decided not to put them on shows. The k pop industry did not want bts on their shows or mistreated them. So they decided to do youtube etc. most is not just bang. I like bang a lot . But bts

You can’t DM our BTS lol
Realness can’t be taught And music fans not k pop fans no the difference between a person acting real and someone who is real
Not interested in katseye at all or k pop at all. Im only army
Non eyekons are rampaging over that magazine photoshoot with bangpd throwing unreasonable hate tawards the guy😢 i hope eyekons respect bangpd too cuz he's the reason why we have katseye in the first place 🎉❤❤❤

wow thank you for covering this, it gave me a new insight about the future of katseye, I may not like bang pd w/ all his personal affairs but I can say that this man knows how business really works and how to maximize the potential of his artists.
When other kpop companies back then where busy promoting their own idols and training a lot of trainees he was busy buying low entertainment companies and eventually lessening the competition like he got seventeen, gfriend back then when they were rising kpop groups. He knows how to utilize the market , the way weverse was created making it like a One Stop Shop for everything—which vlive failed to do back then. Now with expanding the company not only in Asia but in the West too, he took the big risk which others was hesitant to do.
I can't wait for the future that holds Katseye. He really has this certain vision, one thing I could say is that he learn from the mistakes of jyp back then when wonder girls were push to promote to the US which kinda destroyed their popularity in korea. YG got a breakthrough back then w/ 2ne1 but failed to protect them but was able to create Blackpink. However , blackpink has yet to fully solidify and continue in the Western Market since the members had different priorities now as individuals and not as a group and the fact YG like let them only release songs once in a blue moon. Bang learn from this and got the formula but can he continue to make it through since other companies are also doing the same formula now. I just hope they can maximize the full potential of Katseye coz they are really talented with the right promotion and song choices they could really breakthrough in the western market.
Also about authenticity, I guess one thing that katseye sets apart from others is that their like just genuine friends who came from different parts of the world who had a same dream which the audience resonates with them. You could feel how grateful and happy they are with all the popularity they are getting. Fans can feel like they are more approachable and free compare to other kpop artists who have a lot of restrictions from management. Just by looking at their Tiktok accounts and weverse lives it's like having a casual talk with friends and just having fun.
P.S. –Have you seen Sophia and Dani doing the GGUM CHALLENGE?, it's slowly getting viral.
Can we now demand that Bighit reinstate their original slogan ‘music and artists for healing’. Can we ditch the cheesy cliche minhee jin replaced this tag witch. The original tag fits what this article talks about regarding bang’s vision. It would also be good to revert back to the original tag to stick it to MHJ. It will make her apoplectic and that’s always worth watching. I think the company should live up to ‘music and artists for healing’ so that they don’t become commercialised and manufactured.
Our beloved Hobi is coming back with his smile to cheer us up. This is good news.
Let's hope that New Jeans and MHJ, better known as "THE COBRA", also return to hell soon. This is also good news.
Bang PD is no different from Ilon Musk in some ways. Their vision is far reaching and it takes the rest of us awhile to catch up. But I don't think Hybe will give up on musicians development. They do nothing but encourage the exploration of their creativity. Like any conglomerate, some things of theirs we might like, some things we care nothing about. The article, to be honest, has a subtle negative connotation which feeds into colonial thinking about Asians. Work hard, be super formulaic about the details, etc. etc. sigh not everyone cares about working in this wild West, shoot-then-ask-questions -later type of environment and not everyone is suited to it. 😂 💜
I think authenticity can translate into any culture, and Bang is a visionary.
One reason I believe it will be hard to fully replicate BTS is because the relationship with BTS and ARMY was organic. Now groups use the fan/idol relationship in a calculated way to achieve success. I’m not saying that fans and idols aren’t being authentic… it’s just somewhat different. One “invented it” from nothing and the others learned from that “invention”.
민희진은 방시혁의재능을질투하고. 배신했다.
I really hope Bang's visions will succeed.
I always thought HYBE was growing too fast, but I am not into business, so what do I know?
I think diversifying themselves is good. I hope they take it step by step, steadily, and not end up in a mess like what is happening right now in ADOR. They should be more careful with their contracts and how to manage each subsidiaries from now on.
Hitman Bang's vision and well thought out formulas for integration of artists on a global scale through the immersion of online structures feels like the pioneer days are ending and the foundations are cementing. By amalgamating different platforms and integrating the access tools the business model that seems new and innovative really becomes the standard in a short amount of time. HYBE is a company worth investing in. It will be interesting to see how AI and the inherent tools will develop as we already see the mimicry and sad versions of real artists but also some very clever and innovative uses.
As a fond explorer of the BU and the other worldly intrigue it is definitely a lure for me and every hint hooks me and makes me delve even deeper – Genius. Knowing I'm being manipulated and enticed to "fall in love" I'm all for it. Here's my bank card! Definitely a company worth investing in.
💜 Bang PD deserves recognition 💜 He went from not being a part of the so-called top 3 💜 to becoming a force to be feared in the music industry 💜 TOGETHER WITH BTS HIS VISION SUPERCEEDS ALL EXPECTATIONS 💜 MUCH SUCCESS TO YOU BANG PD AND BTS 💜
정국이 슈퍼볼 서는 그날까지 존버 🔥🔥🔥
BTS & ARMY are organic 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
한국어 버전은 없을까요?
I haven't paid much attention to Katseye because I didn't like their song Touch, but also I've always disliked this push to get into the Western market. I just don't care for the pop music that is coming out in the USA, so if you want a "kpop" group to sound like what is popular here, I won't like it. I remember when Bang Siyhuk said he wanted to take out the "Korean" from kpop. I knew I couldn't idolize him like I see in the comments section here. He did well with BTS, but BTS is special and their success is because of the members, not Bang Sihyuk. He's obsessed with the western market. I wish the Katseye members were involved in the actual music writing process, maybe the sound would be more appealing and genuine.
These people are obsessed with turning young teens into addicts hooked to their products
I saw the news a while ago about Mr Brown his company almost bankrupt that’s why he sold his company to HYBE. This guy spent a lot of money on his 😮own business. Scary thing is he still in charge of the company. HYBE only a investor
Also LA universal are losing big money so they are using BTS to create more viewers, such as Jimin Are you sure, etc
I don't think their is ny kind of recipe to replicate BTS'S success and the only person responsible for bts success is BTS this becomes more evident as bangpd try to create a new BTS but fails every time . I think the person truly responsible for Bts's success is RM army if you don't relate with me I suggest you to watch boracity's video it sheds light upon this topic I don't like BTS'S image being endorsed as a result of someone else's work when its clear they are BTS because of only the members talent . Bighit provided BTS only the opportunity to debut , release albums and promotions but the success they gained was truly only and only because of their hardwork . Don't get blinded by these types of articles
I believe in Chairman Bang’s genuine love for music. He’s not only a brilliant businessman but also someone with great foresight. While the entertainment industry is very risky, his decision to diversify investments is a smart move to secure funds that will ultimately support and strengthen the music sector. With technology evolving rapidly, investing in gaming makes perfect sense. This booming industry will likely play a significant role in shaping the future of entertainment, creating new opportunities for synergy between music and digital platforms.
Hybe diversifying its business is smart. I personally don’t think AI groups are the future. A lot of us want real music from real artists. That needs to remain an important part of the business. Also Weverse is an incredible platform so if they continue to expand that it can grow even more.
Also, the part when Bang smugly says that the plan for Katseye is working is so satisfying to read cause it was wild seeing their growth in real time from Debut to Touch and then the album and documentary release. They really do know what they’re doing. It’s impressive. Curious about the new groups that will be debuting in the future.
Min Hee Jin didn’t try to leave, the tried to STEAL.
I'm sorry, but the title of the article is a bit annoying to me. "The man behind BTS" is Kim Namjoon. Bang PD was just super lucky to find a genius 16 year-old visionary with excellent leadership qualities, and Bang was open-minded enough to let Namjoon educate and lead the trainees, then let him help with deciding BTS line-up, then make him the main songwriter, then eventually give him the power to decide the direction of the group together with the other members. Bang PD took so many ideas from BTS members, and is trying to apply some of them with other groups, but calling him a "k-pop king" is ridiculous, and also a bit disrespectful, since he's never called himself that, and it gives him a questionable and arrogant image.
I disagree with some of what was stated in this article about Bang, as a fan of BTS not all of the real BTS is displayed, they created a narrative within the group that has created one of the most vile fans who continually create false narratives, death threats against a member who has not been treated fairly, often times he has been left out on merch and credits on films, which if it was done to another member I could say it was a mistake, but when it is the same member every time, and only him, that is not a mistake, even before debut this mbr was included period, therefor after debut fans didn't even know who he was, and I don't agree with the secret weapon theory.
So I don't know anything about Katseye, is Bang trying to create idol culture with American music, like do they sing only in English to attract English speaking fans? If he is, and if he tries using the fan service and shipping that is a big part of Korean culture, it won't go here in America, there is many things that is part of BTS fandom I dislike, shipping & fan service are 2, but creating a group that fans think they can have a romantic relationship with is wrong, it causes harm to the members, American artist don't receive the hate, death threats and crazy ( sasaeng ) fans who stalk the members, break into their apartment bldg to get as close to the member to actually hand them a marriage certificate crosses all lines, yes they are public figures, but that does not mean they also don't have private lives that fans can invade, the whole no dating rule is another messed up concept, are these people none human? It creates too many harmful rumors. BTS are now the age of starting families, and as Rm himself stated, idol industry does not allow them to grow up, if they do want to start families as other idols have, the fans immediately hate them, tell them they need to leave the group, that they are ruining it, sorry but again, that is messed up, this is most likely why there is no longevity in the idol industry, the groups have to leave to have a life as adults. In America we don't care if are artist have families, date, or their gender identity unlike K pop.
Good luck to Bang, but not sure he will make it in America with the Idol system.
As an army I must say that the interview is not about BTS and focuses only on a small part to say that Bang PD was lucky or that he is a nobody, why doesn't another BTS replicate it if he is such a genius? Sorry, but the interview is very long and I think it is not right to only focus on one part. The interview was done by a third party with his own opinion and he wrote based on that, so if you don't agree, don't attribute it to Bang PD, believing himself to be almost a god,I think he more than anyone is bothered by those big titles and feels uncomfortable
And I personally think he is a visionary and a genius, from taking a bankrupt company to creating a conglomerate, with millions of eyes on Hybe if that is not being a genius then what is?
I prefer to be called "chubby." It sounds cute to me. I don't like the term "overweight." It's so scientific and used incorrectly all the time. Overweight means outside of healthy weight-range, but a lot of girls in the media are mislabled as overweight.
I agree that Debut was too short of a song, but I liked it more than Touch. My FAVORITE song of Katseye is My Way. Of course, Bang would have something to do with it!
If Bang is trying to model from Spice Girls, they're not good singers so they write their songs to cover up the fact. Maybe that's why their songs are not showcasing Katseye's voices. A girl group with good singers would be like LIttle Mix.
Haha. It's Ta-GA-log. Don't worry about it. Everyone makes that mistake.
The article was all over the place, but I loved it! Thank you for reading. it. The New Yorker's articles are way too long! And my modern short-attention-span brain bails after a few paragraphs, but you reading and stopping every once in a while to insert information and comment made it enjoyable.
Authenticity can be successful anywhere.
I don't think BTS will perform at the Super Bowl any time soon.
If you like Kendrick Lamar and hip hop in general there is an excellent video essay which is long but these long ones are the best, called “I’m What The Culture Is Feeling” by a channel called FD Signifier. He has several other videos about other rappers who signify some historical pivot in the world of hip hop that is also quite interesting. I think he is a former social worker and his channel is a social commentary channel. You’ll appreciate that video.
Bts and bang PD built this company from zero
Such a shame that hybe has ungrateful employees eho no one knows except KOREA and spoiled group
