  1. you can also have 6 groups of 4, top 2 make it to the next round alongside the 4 best 3rd places. or have top 1 go to winners waiting for their opponent. , 2 and 3rd place go to losers etc

  2. 32 Teams, 8 Groups of 4, Double Round Robin, Regions have 2 to 5 teams, Team distribution is done via seeding not region lock.
    Playoffs 16 Teams, Single Elimination
FIFA is THE sport event and this is pretty much their format, except their best region gets 12 to 13 teams.

  3. Always weird hearing people talk about NA ads in sports being crazy. Just look at EU football kits, the sponsor is written right across their chest in huge letters. The club crest is tiny by comparison.

  4. SHOUTOUT to my guy Pastry Time. Dude is a legend and my personal favorite PBP. When I read the news I was pretty devastated to think I'd never get to hear a Pastry Time cast again but I'm super pumped to see where his career takes him next and I hope we get to see him from time to time in the scene. Be happy Pastry Time. Much love.

  6. Ahhh yes, let's just remove playins… completely missing the whole point of playins. Sure Riot did that first, but that doesn't mean we throw the baby out with the bathwater.

  7. On the champions queue topic I'm sure Travis just wasn't really thinking about what he was saying or mispoke but the reasons other regions don't have champions queue is because they have generally high quality solo queue. If you wanted to add champions queue to Europe unironically just add voice chat to league and you have the same viewing experience as camps queue. Could even just have voice comms enabled for Diamond and above.

  8. I just think they should do something like how NCAA Basketball has. Include everyone Bo1's only. If you do want upsets then this is the best way to make it happen and everyone knows how much money and prestige comes when you are a Mid-Major and you upset a Big Time Program.
The reason why Riot has their Format currently isn't because they want viewership, it's because they DON'T want upsets. Think about it, if it's a Bo5 how much chance does a TCL Team of defeating someone like T1? It's the same reason why March Madness for NCAA has Bo1's because they DO want Upsets, they want to give everyone a chance to Win and they (NCAA) know that if it's a Bo3 or Bo5 that those Mid-Majors are not gonna be able to Win consistently against a Team with like four 5-Star Recruits.
Top 32 Teams from Around the World (For LoL) Seeding is based on Region (so Top 3 Teams per region and major region) and you use the same format as the NCAA Tournament

  9. I remember I was watching CoreJJ's stream when he was on a team with Zeus and Oner vs Jojo, his stream was around 1.3k viewers and towards the end of that game it was around 10k viewers. He went on to stream for the rest of the night with around 7k viewers. I do agree with the sentiment that streaming CQ can easily help build your career and brand.
