  1. Overpaying for bad players with a lot of hype is a staple of desperate ownership. OKC figured out they had two all-star level BUMS on their squad and got rid of em. Gonna be a bright future in Oklahoma.

  2. The thing about the PG trade is it was basically a trade for TWO guys, a Finals MVP and a top 3 MVP vote getter. Getting PG ensured they get Kawhi.

But it reset the market nonetheless, and it’s gonna take a bunch of teams losing out on guys who they could’ve traded for the market to reset. And I can’t wait for that to happen because this is ridiculous.

  3. People keep laughing at me but these are just the FACTS:

    1. NBA is more talented than ever before. Period I don't want to hear "so-and-so" era was better. Stars will be stars in any era but the role player depth in today's game is INSANE. Willy Hermangomez is a euroleague MVP and hes sitting on our bench

    2. League needs to add 2 more teams for a clean 32. Any competitive sports NEEDS a few bottom feeders so that the elite can separate themselves from the "good"

I kno people love parity but too much parity just makes for chaos which is what we're seeing now. Nobody wants to sell because literally everyone has ballers on the roster

  4. The dejounte Murray trade is overblown as a spurs fan, hawks traded 2 of their picks (one from Charlotte) & pick swaps .. that’s not really a lot considering he’s only 27 and fresh off a all star , they still have their pick this & next year .. and they still have they picks in 2027 it’s just a swap & considering if they still have Trae young they should be at least decent .. + they didn’t give up a shred of their young core

  5. Before watching the vid, prediction – teams are scared to trade too much for players now thanks to how much the Gobert trade failed. Even if it's a proven player you can't be sure how they'll gel on your team, so they don't want to trade in their whole future for a trade.

  6. @threecone teams waiting to see if raptors are sellers is why its a slow market. raptors lose a few more games and they are sellers.

i dont see og anunoby moved, he is 24 and under a team friendly contract so they dont have to move him unless someone gives them a crazy offer. same with siakam raptors dont have to trade him so it will take alot to trade for him. gary trent jr and fred vanvleet can probably be had for a protected first , a young player and filler. if the filler is really bad with term, it likely cost another 1st.

also lotta teams dont know if they gonna sell until likely closer to the end of january the way things are so tight.

  7. The market is not broken, many of these trades you're not putting in a proper context. Like how we never really saw franchise players traded before. So there was no market to go by, we simply knew it would be an arm and a leg. You're also ignoring age and other big role playing factors.
Of all the trades mentioned there are only 2 that i'd say are bad trades and bad trades happen no matter what, they don't establish a bad market. And of course those two trades are Utah and Minny and Rockets and Nets.
The Harden trade was bad because of his lack of commitment.
The Rudy trade was terrible because he's just not worth that much and we all get what the TWolves wanted to do, but its not 2007 and how management did not get this is beyond me.

  8. The last few years the draft has been so stacked that picks are just insanely valuable. You could get a guy with the 8th pick in the draft and within a couple of years that guy is worth multiple first rounders. So the guys who’ve given them up for these trades are idiots. I’m an OKC fan and we got J Dub from one of the Clippers first round picks. That’s just one and he looks like a complete baller. And that’s just one pick. Tre Mann was another guy we got from them who’s another really good prospect. And we still have two more first rounders and three pick swaps 🙃 and we got Shai in the deal. It’s just going to look ridiculous in hindsight when it’s all over. If we can get maybe three guys even on Tre Mann’s level then that’s Shai, J Dub, Tre Mann and the others for PG who hasn’t done anything there. Shai is already on his level…

  9. LMFAO! What the hell are u even saying? U are so wrong. The Bucs are the only ones that won in a trade because they won a chip with Jrue Holiday. That is so far from the truth. The Raptors won the same year they traded for Kawhi. The Lakers won not too long after trading for AD & did u forget that GS won with Wiggins just last year? Only a year after trading D Lo for him.

  10. Love the content and OKC love but I’d disagree with your comparison on the Jrue and AD comparisons. All the players NO received are all good players and starters on their teams. 4 starters and a bunch of picks is certainly not the same as 3 firsts and two swaps. Not nitpicking just talking as a fan of yours. Thanks for the video.
