  1. Just bc ā€œpeople who struggle with their mental health?!ā€ That would be ā€œeveryoneā€essentially. It's so easy to dismiss suicides+OD by means of force, etc. A clear cut case- o stating, crime scene tape up, roadblocks perhaps?! ā€œIf you want to get away with murder, kill a junkie!ā€ Truer words were never spoken! Kurt Cobain+Marilyn Monroe anyone?? Marilyn Monroe had ā€œissuesā€but did NOT kill herself intentionally/not. That was a murder! The Cobain case COD/Method was determined a suicide at the scene! No autopsy yet. Soaked in conspiracy!

  2. As an American, I am shocked and appalled Sussex police would not allow a second autopsy even though Blessing’s family would pay for it. What an insult. The police assumed the cause of death as suicide with no foul play. Blessing was such a lovely young lady. She didn’t know how to swim but chose to drown herself? Odd. I am sincerely sorry for Blessing’s mom & hope new leads can be established, with perhaps another police dept reviewing the case.

  3. Disturbing fact but a huge sign someone is about to commit suicide, they have a much more uplift mood and are much less stressed compared to before. So you hear often that the family member was doing much better, but it really was because the person felt relieve once they finalized their decision.

  4. My thoughts and prayers go out to that beautiful girl and her family. That being said it is getting old listening to everyone cry racism. Back in the 60's and even the 70's there was definitely racism, but at this point there are racist out there but when one white person does something racist we all get blamed. I believe they call that racial profiling which white people get accused of all the time. Not all white people are racist and in all actuality there are considerably less racist then there are racists. I don't understand why they still blame us for sins of the past. I have been treated racially in my city and I promise I don't blame all blacks for the actions of the few. This day and age it's not about color anymore but it just won't be let go. Aren't you tired of being mad at the wrong people?

  5. Racism was definitely involved if the police did not take an active interest in the case . Casteism plays a very big role in my home country of India when it comes to the police solving a case . Sad to say but caste and racial and other such factors still play a substantial role in daily life .

  6. I’m sorry. A lot of y’all are saying suicide and I’m not seeing it. Not all people who struggle with mental health commit suicide. I’ve struggled with depression for 50 years, since I was a teen. Not all women who have been abused commit suicide, I know a lot who have been. And her mother said that she’d never go anywhere without her wig. And her nails were broken. Seems more like a coverup to n me.

  7. Long time ago i went through a very deep depression…for outsiders and my family i was getting better…however no one saw what was coming just around a corner…luckily now I’m here to tell my story…so you really don’t know what is going on in anyone’s mind…its very hard to accept…

  8. She last texed to her mother her pin code and said 'I love you', her shoes, phone were neatly piled on the sand. Why give your bank account pin number to anyone if you are just out for a walk? Sounds like suicide to me.

  9. When someone you love dies from suicide EVERY part of your heart and soul wants to believe it was anything other than suicide. ANYTHING. As someone who lost their sister to suicide, completely unexpectedly, I can tell you that sadly although we think we know people, their are things going on inside that we can never know, unless they wish to share them šŸ’”. My sister was beautiful, successful, with no health problems, no financial problems, had amazing friends and family. Yet their was something inside her that was broken that just couldn’t be fixed on its own. I saw her that morning, as I was in a rush I just said a quick ā€œHiā€ and carried on out the door, NEVER thinking that would be the last time I saw her. I wish with all my heart and soul I could go back to that morning and stop and talk to her, would it have prevented her from doing what she did? I will never know. It’s become a cliche but it’s so true, if love could save someone, no one would ever die by suicide šŸ–¤.

  10. Not having the mother identify her body is wild. I understand the circumstances of this being ruled out as suspicious; but she doesn’t even get to say goodbye? That can lead to some serious denial and suffering. I hope she’s resting in peace ā¤

  11. This will sound odd. My father took his life on the side of a road. He parked his car and went into the wood line. When he heard the police from my step mother’s emergency call he pulled the trigger, so he was immediately found and the family made arrangements. I say that to say we were grateful that he didn’t do it at home, but he made his self able to be found and his intention obvious. People who choose this exit should at least ensure the family somehow knows and can come to terms instead of using investigative resources and questioning forever what really happened.

  14. I'm guessing it just happened the water pushed her back to shore once she went in. I was thinking if she committed suicide she would have gone under and been carried out to sea.

  15. This is such a sad case. Sadly, it's likely her mental health battle got the best of her, and she took her own life. She was a beautiful young woman, and the fact she was caring for dementia sufferers shows what a good heart she had. Bless her.

    Rest in peace Blessing Olusegun.
