I can confirm that running the king up the board works. I was once up a rook and my opponent ran their king which made me blunder my rook so I asked for a draw and my opponent accepted.
Edit: It was also the endgame so after the blunder I made there was just rooks and pawns
I watched this vid 5 mins after it came out I was on a loosing streak a 100 Elo losses until I ran the king after this vid and I finally broke it this works

The King is a Queen on crutches. Running the king simply puts Queen#2 into play. so yeah- I get it.
as someone who has made a comeback in several lost games I can confirm I do move the king up the board hoping they either blunder the queen or I checkmate them by surprise
levy you said that if you run the king its a tactic to win in all levels. but the bong cloud checkmate video showed a scenario where the king ran but was still mated (BY A KING MOVE) shoudl this be deemed CLICKBAIIT???

One time I only had a queen and my opponent had his queen a horse both bishops and a rook but he was to bothered trying to mate me then in one move I mated

I followed this advice in a game earlier today and managed a comeback down 3 pawns after the opponent blundered their bishop.

I´m 1700 aswell and that´s probably 2 drunks playing chess. If you cant checkmate with Queen and Knight at 1700….I get your point runing the king confuses people, but that´s just two idiots playing, honestly:D
