  1. I imagine the Colts will say screw it and draft a QB this offseason if they keep playing this way. That QB carousel has been crazy considering how good parts of that roster have been during that time.

  2. It has been a tipsy-turvy type of season. Who would have thought the Giants would be 2-0? The situation in Tennessee is just plain bad, but may even be worse in Carolina. I certainly thought Baker Mayfield would be better than this. Wrong again!

  3. The Colts are failing due to ego and stubbornness, mainly from the head coach and GM. Frank Reich is way too soft to be a leader of men and he refuses to give up play-calling which has been atrocious going back to the Raiders game last season. As for Chris Ballard, his roster philosophy is decades out of date and he continues to treat free agency like shopping at Dollar Tree. And don’t even get me started on him being satisfied w/ the WR core going into this season.

  4. Garrett, you’re right about the Titans belonging here in general, but you’re missing a few points:

    1) The defense. It’s the main reason we were the #1 seed even without Henry. Unfortunately, last season’s sack leader (13.5 including postseason) Harold Landry tore his ACL just before the start of the season, and the pass rush has lost a critical speed element, putting more pressure on our young cornerbacks and middling linebackers. Simmons, Byard, Hooker, Autry, and Fulton can’t do it alone.

    2) The offensive line. Beyond center Ben Jones and right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere, there isn’t much besides Nate Davis at RG. Taylor Lewan is an injured husk of himself (maybe out for the season, leaving Dennis Daley at LT) and Aaron Brewer’s too small to be a starting left guard. Hence Derrick Henry getting easily bottled up and Ryan Tannehill under constant pressure.

    3) OC Todd Downing. This man doesn’t understand the offense’s strengths and weaknesses and he can’t call plays with God himself whispering into his ear. He’s a major reason behind Tannehill’s regression after Smith left and why Henry’s being used on Todd plays for -4 yards or jammed up the middle.

Overall, this feels like a down year for the team before hopefully returning to playoff contention.

  5. Writings already clearly on the wall with Henry. They function a lot better with Hillard on the field and Henry has always been a massive black hole in the pass game. Hes slow and plodding and below average as a runner now. He bottlenecks what an already limited offense can do. It's arguable they weren't any better whether he was on the field or not last year, every stat and result indicates it didn't matter much. Brown somewhat alleviated that need but with a bad wr corp you need help elsewhere, and Henry is the worst RB in the league in the pass game, he's a pretty bad blocker too. He doesn't get enough blame(or any) for why that offense sucks now. That offense is horribly easy by 2022 standards to defend against with Henry on the field

  6. I just want to say most of these teams have a new coach or quarterback and that's where team chemistry begins a more often than not takes time so if any of the teams in that situation blow up the team it will probably lead to next year being worse I'm not trying to say your thought process is wrong but I just think if a team finds themselves not improving after 3 years that's when to push reset

  7. I never thought the Colts trading for Matt Ryan was a good move in the first place. That man’s best days are behind him and he is now the shell of a QB he had once been. Years ago, it would’ve been great, but now they’re using him as a bridge QB until they possibly draft a QB in 2023. As he has two years left on his current contract, retirement could be coming sooner or later for Ryan, so his career could end before we know it.
