  1. Bo-Katan did not win the dark saber in “combat”. This elder wand rationalization in an attempt to justify her having it back to lead their people is beyond me. We didn’t even get to see Mando practicing again or learning to wield it better, it’s such a disappointment.

  2. Everything is so convenient in Season 3: Remember that conflict between the creed and regular mandalorians. Well now their lead doesnt care if Bo wears a helmet. Remember BO needing the Darksaber and the tension between them?? Psych! She saved him so its hers again. No muss, no fuss

  3. A fun, Clone Wars-esque Chapter. I loved the Special FX (the colors of this planet are brilliant) and the world-building. I'm guessing this is — yet again — a planet in The Outer Rim? I wonder if this planet and its history will get mentioned and/or depicted in the time of The High Republic? As usual, Bryce Dallas Howard directs a cool, relevant episode (still hope to see her direct another episode featuring Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano). So, Din and Bo-Katan have both been bestowed a most-respected planetary gift; while Grogu, age 52, has been appointed the title, Knight Of The Ancient Order Of Independent Regencies? Cool. The accolades are mounting. When Grogu Djarin is in his 80s and up, between being The Son Of Mand'alor and The Second Mandalorian Jedi Knight, he's going to have quite the royal, military, and chronicler resume/pedigree. I'm sure and certain, by Season 4, this planet will be part of a group of allies to Din, Bo, and their galactic friends. Hope to see Jack Black and Lizzo in further episodes (both live-action and Animated). Wonder if Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew (and The Bad Batch, for that matter) will venture to this star system in their respective (paralleled, interweaving) narratives?

Great reaction, CinePals. This Is The Way. May The Force Be With You…

  4. Mando didn't lose a fight,he was trapped and never threw one blow. This was a lame way to pass along the saber even, hell it shouldn't have happened altogether. This is the Mandalorian and so far he's taken a back seat for majority of the show. 🤦🏾‍♂️

  5. An interesting cocktail of an episode. One part CSI: Mandalorian (complete with guest stars), one part I Robot, one part "Challenging the Chief" trope… topped off with a sprinkle of fun bits; star-crossed lovers of Mon Cala, "Dooku was right," Grogu gets a cuddle, and a Kuiil call-back. We are now set up for a two-chapter season finale.

  6. I loved episode 6 definitely top 5 of the entire series; it had brilliant and nuanced storytelling and new world-building; we saw interspecies and inter-class relationships and the politics complicating them. A new planet where wealthy out of touch folks live; how the republic limits armaments when an ex-imperial is co-ruling. Their open and pluralistic culture and why Bo and Din are uniquely situated to help them. Best part is the droid subculture and their repurposing with Din being untrusting; only to find he can trust them, it's the humans, again, that are problem. That droid bartender saying just cause they're droids doesn't mean they don't seek be "alive" and have purpose and be useful was absolutely beautiful; brilliant.

Of course; I suspected a portion of the fandom will hate it for the same reasons I think it's brilliant; like episode 3. I was right. Star Wars fandom is frustrating.

  7. if sombody (who owns teh saber) gets atack behind and its not a respectfull duel, cant lose the saber. so dont talk shit. The duel have a method, and u have to follow it so to be real Bo Katan shoud give back the saber in the next episods to Mando. Mando lost all what he builded up in 2 seazons.

  8. so i guess this show is no longer about its origianl main character. He is now nothing but a side kick. Seems like its been all about her and not about him the last 3 episodes. Sorry but that sucks.

  9. There's some amazing cameos in this episode. Jack Black, Christopher Lloyd, and even the RX-series droids from the old version of the Star Tours ride at the Disney resorts? Geez, my childhood's rushing back again.

  10. This episode reminded me that Star Wars is also meant for kids, and at first I was averse to this. Then I kind of just settled into it and remembered that different worlds can encompass different forms of story telling. Not everything has to be so serious.

  11. Honestly, I didn’t mind this episode for being a fun little side quest. The only cameo that I found stupid was Lizzo. I’m sure she’s a great talent, but man she can’t act holy moly.

  12. Disney always finds a way to destroy success. The cameo actors were terrible on all levels. Lizzo was unwatchable. Jack Black always has to over act every second which is tiresome.

I can only imagine how pissed the main actors are… They knew in the first two seasons that they were sitting on a gold mine and are now losing viewers left and right. Any time Disney feels the need to use gimmicktry to hold my attention… I stop watching the series and move on. They are one episode away from me doing that.

  13. First the Beskar Spear and now the Darksaber; Mando Now Really needs a new Melee Weapon. {Here's to hoping when he joined back up with the covert, the Armorer restocked him with new whistling birds}. Or at least a new melee weapon along with/besides his Vibro-knife.

  14. After Bo-Katans deep conviction that the Darksaber had to be won in a propper battle it was really weak writing to give her the saber over a technicality. But now that Bo and Din have bekomme such buddys the writers didnt want them to fight. A more clever way would have been, now that even the religious Mandos (The helmet people) are open for new ways, that they agree with the mercenary Mandos that the Mandaloren Leader gets elected or something and the dark saber is just a things that belongs to the elected leader. No Battle required.

  15. Thank God for Courtney!!! She at least recognized Lizzo !! I was so surprised that none of you mentioned her in the palace scene!
Another great recap for an amazing show! This is the way!

  16. It was good to see Bo Katan team again along with Sasha Banks and Jack Black in this episode. I surprised that you guys didn't recognize Grammy award-winning music artists Lizzo alongside Jack.

  17. My first time watching a vid from "Cinepals", so I'm sure she's heard this dozens of times before, but Cortney talks, laughs and even looks a little like Regina King!
And I'm not a fan of Lizzo, so I didn't recognize her at all. Didn't know it was her until I saw her name in the credits.

    Great video, Pals.

  18. Sorry guys, prince lee char ain’t around no more.

I won’t spoil how, but it’s in the comics.

The clone wars were a bit more than 30 years ago at this point on the timeline…

  19. All kinds of good stuff in this wonderful bouillabaisse: an alien love affair, the Lizzo & Jack Black love affair, Mando's "love/hate" affair with droids, Bo's love affair with her fleet and people… so many forms of love on display! Great cameos. And it's clear that "Sir Grogu" has a real thing for the women! Well… and his Dad too. An excellent episode.
