  1. 3:16:12: And he got the door to open first damn try. Of course… πŸ˜” Anyway, THAT is what I was talking about in my comment on the first episode of this game. This damn door. I think it's only right to add a bit more context to that here. I solved the piss-easy puzzle, drew the symbol on the door… and it didn't open. I think I was there for about twenty minutes wondering what the hell I was doing wrong, drawing the symbol over and over, and even went on Gametrailers' old walkthrough website Wikicheats to double-check if I had the answer right (I did, for the record).

Eventually, I simply gave up, put the game down, and never went back to it. I found it again in 2016 or 2017, at which point, I threw away the cartridge. Hey, I was never gonna beat it, what was the point in keeping it? Like I said, I can provide no explanation for why this happened. I can only assume it was a one-in-a-million glitch.

  2. I loved this game as a kid. I know everyone memes on the train setting but it's got everything phantom hourglass had and more.

The only problem I had with this game was when they started spawning purple trains in the late game. They were armored, moved faster than you, and actively chased you.

  3. theres a surprising amount of people who try to fake blindfolded speedruns. Why i have no idea because the mechanics behind doing it are so alien to normal play that its extremely easy to tell if they faked because oopse they did a dodge w/o any audio queue or vertical-camera-control flawlessly lol

  4. Oh, if you're looking for a playable version of Phantom Hourglass' battle mode, Nintendo Land has a mini game called "Animal Crossing: Sweet Day" which is very similar. The main difference is the two chasers are controlled using each analogue stick, rather than by drawing paths.

  5. Vtubers are a weird concept to me. I've never been one for facecams, considering I use longform videos like these as background noise while I play games or do chores. Vtubers are that, but a 3D anime character. I consider it a waste of effort, but I don't dislike it.

I give my full attention shorter video essays, animations, comedies, etc. Maybe vtubing would work better for some shortform videos. I don't know. Video game streaming feels like a waste of potential for vtubing. Others seem to like it, so whatever.

  6. I'm 90% sure the mountain sage is as far as I got in this one, could just not get the game to register it no matter what I did. Consistently inconsistent. Somewhat curious to see the rest of the game, finally.

  7. While I normally just listen to your vods in the background while at work (therefore not often looking at the screen), I do think the pngtuber is very cute. Also, I'm enjoying the continuation of the Zelda marathon. I remember struggling so much with the songs in Spirit Tracks because of how touchy it is about the microphone and stuff
