  1. I've been seeing some Chinese users on Twitter accusing Black Myth Wukong's developers of sexism for allegedly saying that their games are not for women, so I wonder if you could expand on this controversy and on whether it's really this serious, since those users are urging people to boycott the game…

  2. The red carpet of GQ was amazing!!! The photos, the style, the stage, everything was incredible! Glad to see all that instead a boring red carpet where all go with the same style

  3. I've checked the drama Battle through the Heavens because I loved the fist part, but this one… man the acting is so bad. I looked through the first couple of minutes, and I couldn't stand how fake it looks… maybe some will like it, but not me.

  4. The Truth II is not bad story wise and the characters of the two main leads are quite interesting. There was a The Truth, released in 2020 on iQiYi. The Chinese title is 凶案现场 and I've seen it on YouTube. One of the leads in The Truth II, Liu Yitong, also starred in that drama although there's no connection between that character and the character he played here. There's no connection between the two dramas but the theme of both is the same : solving of an old murder case.

Got A Crush On You is a very old fashioned romance drama with outdated characters and storyline. Gulnezer is better in her other two recent dramas: Incomparable Beauty and Weaving A Tale of Love Season 2. Both of these dramas are also better than Got A Crush on You. However, if you don't mind an outdated story, Got A Crush On You is quite pleasing to the eyes.

  5. Back during my uni days, I met a guy at a laundromat and dated him for a bit. So yeah, it's a thing! 😄

Laundromats were very clean, well-lit, with nice locations back then. At-home washer/dryers were not as prolific in certain residential areas.

  6. Battle Through the Heaven is trash. It's marketed as season 2, but it's inconsistent and not at all a companion to the first. Anyone who loves the original and waited long for this will be disappointed in 5 minutes and give up by the end. C-ent should not do a season 2 of anything if they can't follow through and pick up where the first left off. Seriously, do writers and production companies not understand the concept of "season 2"? Why is there such a huge disconnect between what they want to put out and what their target audiences expect? Especially, when they have a cliffhanger type ending. The way this crap starts, I'm not even sure people who have not seen season 1 could stand to watch. This is by far my biggest disappointment this year.

  7. Where I live it's standard to have laundry rooms in every apartment complex, which you book for your own use, so there's no laundry-related romance happening here LOL…more like laundry room conflicts between tenants about who didn't clean it properly after use 🤣

I'm currently watching A Journey to Love (slowly, though I'm loving it) and Love Me, Love My Voice (religiously, lapping it up). The latter is just the kind of sweet, healing, butterflies-inducing low-stakes romance drama that I need right now. There are no evil scheming bitches/bastards, everyone is likeable, the love story is super cute, Zhou Ye is adorable (the role is perfect for her), TJC is dreamy, and the chemistry between them is very good. Is it saccharine? Yes. Very. But sometimes you just need sugar.

  8. Depending on where one is, laundromat can be where people meet and so on, especially in college towns or around apartment complexes where lots of single people live. Out here in the suburbs where I live, mostly moms with kids doing tons of washing.

  9. hope is drama about a teacher leading a group of high school students to success. china title seems to mean roaring dragon (鸣龙 ming long) youths and ming long is the name of the high school. based on japan drama and manga dragon zakura (main character name is sakuragi kenji).

  11. last immortal is a mythological drama. china title seems to mean a hidden god. mythology has 5 types of people. gods are the most powerful people. common people are the 5th type and the weakest. In between are 3 types of powerful people: good immortals, yokai and evil immortals. Main guy is the son of gods and lost his god powers and was raised by the good immortals so the main guy does not know he is the son of gods. Main gal is a phoenix yokai.
