In 795, the Irish warrior culture comes in contact with the Viking warrior culture. This clash sparks multiple centuries of brutal conflict, shifting alliances, and power grabs that culminate in devastating wars and battles, and the rise of the storied High King Brian Boru.

  1. Eternal respect for HIGH KING Brien Boru.Gave his life to free Ireland from the Norse virus. Also shame on the ethnic Irish who allied with the Norse.Whatever issues you have with your own people;resolve it INTERNALLY;no need to bring outsiders.

  2. Best part is when they decided is more profitable to just commerce and founded Waterford to ship things to England and the Continent.
You can say whatever you want but business margin is an universal language

  3. Very well made documentary, awesome to see you talk about how Brian and other Irish kings employed viking mercenaries and some married the Norse, showing that Irish politics at the time where much more complex than just the Irish v viking invaders narrative.

  4. Why do they keep letting this guy, the ruler of Dublin, off the hook? They fight multiple wars against him and then say "alright now don't do it again ya hear me! Pinky swear"

  5. Hopefully things work out for the Irish and Brian Boru doesn’t get ganked in his command tent by some cringe Viking who couldn’t take the banter at the battle of Clontarf.

    [Edit]: Goddamnit…
