Trump encourages Russia to attack European nations for โ€œnot payingโ€ America for โ€œprotectionโ€.
International protection racket is a new trump policy it seems.

Redcoats are now serving high teas to Edinburgh and tourists.
The idiots at Historic Scotland think this is a tribute to Scotlandโ€™s history?

The Duke of Edinburgh fails to get steaming in Portsmouth.
Why do we Scots rely on shoddily built naval relics to defend us from Russian threats?

  1. Hi Gordon, I read on Twitter that the cafe has had that name for quite a while, which kinda makes it worse. It's probably mainly tourusts who use it which may give a skewed perspective on the history of Scotland. A typical UK establishment ploy from our colonial overlords which has quietly played out in the background for years, decades even.

  2. What were the Scottish Island Clearances?
Was the Highland Clearances ethnic cleansing?
It is debatable whether the Clearances could be considered as genocide, but from McLeod's accounts they would certainly appear to be an early instance of ethnic cleansing,

  3. The red coat evolved from being the British infantryman's normally worn uniform to a garment retained only for ceremonial purposes. Its official adoption dates from February 1645, when the Parliament of England passed the New Model Army ordinance, WANKERS

  4. massive supporter of Scottish independence ,trump didn't quite say that it's getting taken out of context .America at the minute is using nato to further its army bases across the world and now in Ukraine ,imagine Russia putting its missiles on the Canadian border ? Why should or would anyone want America to fight for free.

  5. How brutal were the Redcoats?
The British Army in the 18th century was commonly seen as disciplined, regimented and harsh. Camp life was dirty and cramped with the potential for a rapid spread of disease, and punishments could be anything from flogging to a death sentence

  6. The SNP cannot even organise building a ferry without turning it into an international joke. The redcoat was part of the British Army uniform, something that Scots chose to play a major part in – and the Cafe was called this anyway. Get your basic facts right.

  8. Aye! you're absolutely right… Cumberland Close, here, is to be renamed due to the slaughter during the uprisings but I think we should also expunge the name "Campbell" too!
I think the Ferries, when finished, would be more than adequate as our Navy. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  9. Devil's Advocate here. As a British Army garrison, I can understand the link between the cafรฉ's name and their history. Given what we know of that history, though, yes, it is a bit insensitive. Castle Cafe would've been a simpler and less provocative choice.

  10. The cafe was named because the chef tends to get blootered and has a problem getting the sauce on his pizzas. Anyway, things will change when Ash Regan takes over and it gets renamed 'The Turncoat Cafe'.
