  1. I live in Southern Nebraska and consider it lucky if we get a two week window of fishable ice on the smaller bodies of water. Ice fishing has gotten really popular in the last ten years or so, but it usually means a trip to So-Dak, No-Dak or Minn to find safe and drivable ice. (I'm old and broke down so my sled dragging days are over.)

Great videos. Bought your walleye pack today from fish usa. How bout some footage of you using some lures from the pack. One review wasnt to great but im chalking it up to not being a fair review.

  3. Hey your up in the Bemidji area, If you have never fished the Detroit Lakes area I highly suggest it we have some great fishing in this area and there are hundreds of lakes to pick from and right now some of the smaller ones have a decent amount of ice.

  4. Been a subscriber for a while, you've helped me become a much better fisherman and have enjoyed almost all 😊 of your work, but this is vid has instantly become my favorite! You didn't put yourself at risk, which separates you from a ton, but it's "The Bounty" , 'The Reward ".. that's what it's about! So fun!

  5. I loved the montages with the music. It was a great edit on some of those, Tom and Mitch! Some spots were a little laggy and slow on video transitions like walking up to the truck with music from an ice check. You need to toss in sound effects on any b-roll used if it is soundless drone footage or something like the slow motion auger even if you have voice over going. Use that Artlist subscription to its fullest.

I really liked the overall concept, though. It felt inspiring to watch the reality of ice fishing.

Good luck out there…don’t forget to give me a shout if you’re still looking for ice or even a place to stay in the future. We’ve got 6 inches right now, but expect 60 degree weather this week. There is plenty of room to stay, though.

  6. Any chance you are willing to show your Mega Live setup with links to your mount? Looking to use my Mega Live with my Helix 9 ice setup, but not a big fan of dropping another $250 for the Mega Lice ice mount.

  7. Videos like this make me realize how weird Colorado is for ice fishing. We've had safe ice for quite a while now. Well over a foot in a few lakes if you're willing to go over 10,000 ft and hike a few miles, but down on the front range where the elevation is 5000 ft we're probably a month out from safe ice. As much as I love trout I can't wait till the options with other species open up. I get bored of trout and want to catch some walleye, crappie, and perch.
