What do you think of the depressing backstory to Godzilla VS Hedorah? And where does it sit on your list of top Godzilla films?
– Alastair
You know I wouldn’t be surprised if the reason Hedorah was killed so quickly in Final Wars was due to Togo’s disdain for the character!
I saw this in the theater, here in the States, when it was first released. It was called "Godzilla vs The Smog Monster" and is still one of my favorites. Thanks for the look back.
It is wonderful to see Godzilla versus the Smog Monster, as I knew it growing up, get a lot more interest and respect them it used to do. A great film.
Love the movie! I was probably about 6 or 7 when I first watched Godzilla vs Hedorah, but yeah it creeped me out! I also remember asking my dad to buy the action figure at Toys R Us and he said, that thing looks like a piece of SHIT! But he still got it for me 🤣
Dancing fishes. Let that sink in…
If Hedorah returns for the MonsterVerse, he should be contained in an outpost in Chernobyl.

It was by far on of the most terrifying Godzilla Movies of the Showa series.

A dark themed movie🎬 done documentary style…
Sounds familiar..
Mr. Banno screwed up by making Godzilla fly!
This tarnished Godzilla's image and placed it at the level of a Gamera movie,
Producer Mr. Tanaka, (who was laid up at a hospital🏥), came back
to see this and gave Mr. Banno his walking papers!
This cosmic🌌 turd monster💩 had corrosive flatulence💨🤧🤮🤢😵💀;
and had grizzly on screen deaths of people🧟♀🧟♂🧟.
American International Pictures🎥 released this movie🎞
with a wonderful English adaptation of the song🎼: Save the Earth🌎!
If one were to remove the flying sequence..
The movie would be great!!
In September 2000 I walked home from school but stalked by the girl at the time I didn't know I came home discovered Godzilla vs Hedorah on sci-fi channel the scene of flying form flying over the cities
That’s dark
This was one of my top five godzilla movies. The storyline was good if given more time and money it would have been better.
Hedorah is one of my favorite kiju, tided whith most others of course😂
This is one of my favorite Godzilla films!!!!
Is it true that Hedorah's eyes are supposed to look like vajayjays
I knew it was different from the other Godzilla films but that was why I loved it. Hedora was a great monster and now knowing the back story, it makes it even better.
Touhou should be a shame giving him the cold shoulder 🥶🪦
I thought it was a decent enough movie when it came out… It scared the heck out of me then.. !!!! Lol 😆
