Aaron Charles Carter was born December 7, 1987 in Tampa, Florida, to Jane Elizabeth (Spaulding) and Robert Gene Carter. He was the younger brother of Nick Carter (the Backstreet Boys) and had three sisters.
He began his music career at age seven, singing lead for the band âDead Endâ for two years. He made his first solo appearance when he was 9, opening for the Backstreet Boys in Berlin in March 1997. The performance was followed by a record contract and, in the fall of 1997, he released his first single, âCrush On Youâ.
His first full-length album âAaron Carterâ came out Dec 1, 1997. It achieved gold status in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada and Germany. The album was released in the United States on June 16, 1998. On May 18, 1998, Carter released the EP âLet The Music Heal Your Soulâ, a fund-raising project that featured vocals by Carter, the Backstreet Boys, âN Sync, the Moffatts and other artists. His next album, Aaronâs Party (Sep 26, 2000), was released in the United States under the Jive Label. The album achieved triple-platinum certification.
At 13, Carter recorded the album âOh, Aaronâ (Aug 7, 2001) which featured his first duet recording with his brother Nick. âOh, Aaronâ was accompanied by a video/DVD of the same name (March 26, 2002) which included footage of his 2001 concert in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as well as music videos and interviews. Play Along Toys also created an Aaron Carter action figure along with the albumâs release.
Carterâs next album, âAnother Earthquakeâ (September 3, 2002), was released during the 2002 âRock, Rap, and Retroâ tour. The album featured the patriotic-themed âAmerica A Oâ and the ballad âDo You Rememberâ. Most Requested Hits was released November 3, 2003. The collection included tracks from his last three albums as well as a new single, âOne Betterâ.
Carter was also an actor. His TV appearances include Lizzie McGuire (2001), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996) and 7th Heaven (1996). His first lead role in a feature was in Popstar (2005).
On November 5, 2022, Carter died at his home in Lancaster, California, at age 34. His body was found in his bathtub by a housekeeper. He was cremated, and his ashes were left in the care of his twin sister Angel. The cause of death was not immediately publicized, but the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later ruled that Carterâs death was accidental: drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam.
Carterâs ashes were interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills).

The front people donât tell you but the security guards do. I had a wonderful security guard take me all around. And told me that is what they are assigned to do.
Matthew Perry was just buried there Friday. I can't believe it's been a year since Aaron died. There are so many famous people here who died too young. Seeing Andy Gibb's vault is still sad. Rest well to all.
Just say no. Focus on your mental health and wellbeing. He died way too soon! I wish he knew how valuable he was to society. To his family!!!

If most of these celebrities didnât do illegal drugs & drink alcohol theyâd be alive today and living along life. Always remember this: Doing drugs does not make anyone cool, it makes them looking at a death sentence. No matter what you do for a living and no matter who you hangout with always follow into the right path of keeping your whole body clean and healthy. Donât be influenced by anyone who does drugs and drinks alcohol. Get a juicing machine like I did and juice carrots, celery, cucumbers, beats, ginger, unions, garlic & spinach. This is what I drink 3 days a week to keep my body healthy. I lost some family members & friends who lost there lives from drugs and alcohol use many years ago in which I tried to get some of them help to stop with there addictions, nothing worked. Those are the ones that said I was stupid and that I wasnât a normal person for not following in there footsteps. So now since there many years deceased and Iâm still alive because I learned to be my own person and love myself and respect my body. If I can do it, then so can you. You wanna be cool, stay away from illegal drugs and alcohol. God bless.
