The devil, as we know it, has a lot of names. Some call him Satan, some call him the Prince of Darkness, some refer to him as Beelzebub, and most refer to him as Lucifer. But apart from these exotic names that the devil calls himself by, what else do people know about the greatest personification of evil? More specifically, where did Satan come from? What are his origins? The Old Bible has references that say Lucifer was an angel before he fell to his doom and became evil. What caused this transition? Was he on the side of light, the just, the pure, and the good before he became the king of all evil? Let’s find out!
God first created the heavens and the earth. And on the very same day, He created the Angels and archangels, and these heavenly creatures would inhabit the heavens. The renowned Gabriel and Michael were among his three magnificent beings, but there was yet another entity that stood out due to his beauty and splendor, known as Lucifer. He was the most important creature God had ever created. Despite all these qualities, Lucifer was taken to pride. This is the vice that leads to arrogance, vanity, and endless haughtiness. Pride was one of the seven deadly sins. And proud Lucifer considered himself to be so arrogant that he decided to create his throne and be the king of his kingdom. He wished to be God himself!
