Amazing game! Watches intently
wow the amount of effort, research, and raw charisma that goes into these things is truly inspiring, such an attractive guy
i appreciate you sharing this wonderful world with us
great video me
looks like they took the mechanics straight from the table top game. works at the table very well, but not so much as a video game.
Thanks for showing us ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Unfortunately i'm on a laptop atm, is playing with a controller well implemented? If yes i'll give it a try
LOVE your deep dives! Gone are old days, when you posted only 15-20 minute videos each week and streamed constantly. And it shows in beasts like these.
If you haven't already, I recommend having a look at the text based RPG NORCO. Very fun game.
Fantastic video, thanks for giving more recognition to this forgotten or unplayed game, you did a really good job on the whole video, from editing, to script, its perfect, this game really deserve this quality of video, you could try checking out the talos principle and pathologic 2, both of them are other underrated gems just like this one.
I think you would love Disco Elysium, if you haven't played it yet
Great video! I recently discover your channel and I enjoy your work and excitement. I strongly suggest that you review Disco Elysium for a different, but most enjoyable, perspective of video game worlds. Cheers!
"If you like talking, this game is going to be for you" no wonder the king of rants loves it so much lol
Umm… Numenera wasn't created decades ago. It wa first released in 2017. And had a re-release/remasster more recently. Still making my way through the video but yeah… its not THAT old a game lol.
Well, never has a game not recommended by the reviewer made me want to play it so much. I stayed hooked on the review from beginning to end. Fantastic editing and writing. Although it wasn't recommended, I had to add it to the Steam list to catch it in the next summer sale.
I've recently discovered your channel, you do good work, congrats! I will say, however, as an original backer and tester, that I can't agree with a few things:
– Crisis mode (it's not combat mode!) is great, imho, and if you play Nano, you should have a very nice attack spell (unless you didn't take it, but that isn't a good idea). Sure, the more spells and abilities you get, the more interesting it gets.
– UI is simple, sci-fi like, very easy to read. I like it, though that's subjective.
– There was just as much or more reading in Planescape, and it also wasn't voiced. It's good, because if a small project throws money away to buy VO, then they have less money for good writing and quests.
– Character creation based on questions (which you can change later) is an oldschool thing, often used in some classic RPGs, it's nice.
– there was something else, but I forgot ๐
I do agree on all the good though!
Edit: oh, and many people bounced off of it is because zoomers (or basically more modern humanoids) don't have good attention spans, they're not used to work for success in their games, there's no quest markers and you have to come up with stuff for yourself, it frustrates newer gamers, whereas older players see it as normal design.
Another edit: you can learn Sticha dialect and make dyplomatic missions between them and humans instead, and sticha will help you in many things in the Underbelly and other places
