Honestly 2018 is my favorite one. All the songs just blend in so well together.

i like how each year has a diffrent feeling to it with 2022 being a sort of age of discovery and the past years being more mixed, and 2023 had some higher bigger stakes in its theme as if that adventure from last year go refined more
2022 gives me arctic chills down my spine with its sheer epicness, theres no other word

Watching this compilation I noticed how starting around 2020, the different themes largely end up sounding like different melodies layered on top of the same underlying rhythmic and harmonic style. Not that it's bad or anything, but I definitely prefer the more distinct styles from the earlier Game Awards.
I dunno why, but my personal opinion, 2018 orchestra is still the best for me š„

2020 is still my favorite, with 17:27 being the most legendary transition ever. You got a whole set of games with a heavy bass line and then it goes to Animal Crossingā¦ itās just amazing.
