  1. I recall watching tons of Vailskibum94’s early Gravity Falls Theory videos when the show was still running. One I believed way before Season 2 began was how Stan was working with the Government to build the portal. Good times

  2. Ok about the summoning thing, Ford summoned bill the first time, he found the incantation on a cave wall and THEN bill pretended to be his “muse” also I assumed Bill couldn’t get into Ford’s mind without shaking his hand bc Ford put the metal plate in his head to keep Bill out

  3. This show is my favorite shoe and it means the world to me. I was there from the beginning and was there on the night of the finale. Thank you, Alex for giving us such an awesome show

  4. old man mcgucket could have been there to trap the shape shifter, ford could have re used the bunker. as the shape shifter said he hasnt been himself for 30 years so hes known him before being paranoid. so old man mcgucket and ford trap the shap shifter then later on old man mcgucket goes through the protals goes crazy and ford gets paranoid

  5. I remember when this show first aired, I was the only one of my siblings that saw the Bill Circle in the opening, and I had to draw it out for them. We still had an analog TV at the time, so rewinding wasn't an option, so when others who could posted about it online, it blew our minds about who or what it meant.

  6. I’ll never forget how exciting the fall of 2012 was when theorizing about gravity falls, being with a group of friends and pausing to see the bill cipher zodiac sign after the theme song is something I’ll never forget

  7. I think the only shows that gripped me as much at the age of 12 were Primeval and X files, but both of these had long been concluded up to that point so there wasn't much reason to theorise and join discussions and look up fan theories. Watching Gravity Falls however was an event. 12 year old me couldn't get enough of searching up theories, creating some of my own, creating my own twists on theories, making my own headcanon journals. I really felt like I was a part of a community.

  8. Okay, in defense of Robbie’s clone theory (I know, I know it’s a dumb theory but when I was younger I did kind of believe it and tried to follow the “evidence”), there was a piece of evidence that was the main “smoking gun” that was left out in this video. (Probably because it was from Tumblr and not YouTube?)

And that all goes to…another animation mistake/retcon for the sake of comedy. So, I don’t know the exact episode numbers or titles but when Dipper first meets Robbie’s mortician parents and whatnot (I believe when they’re about to fight?) we see portraits of Robbie going through periods of his life from very young to current.

The joke here is that Robbie was once a really happy, cute kid but as time progressed he became the emo jerk we know. Thus, furthers Dipper’s unease in the situation.

HOWEVER, when Dipper and Mabel go back in time to help Soos’ birthday situation. Dipper and Mabel get hit with a water gun from a young Robbie. A young Robbie…that looks very distinctly opposite to what we previously saw (with young Robbie looking a lot like current Robbie.)

This is where the main evidence was and while this theory diverts from the Robbie clone theory here as it stated that maybe the Robbie we know is a clone and the original died or something when he was young (and that his parents, using their mortician skills cloned/brought him back somehow?) Nonetheless, it follows similar concepts or could be further applied to the other theory.

But yeah, that…man Gravity Falls theories are wild. I really liked this video! I feel like a crazed kid again explaining all that and just remembering stuff from my theory days. 😆

  9. The reason stanford cant be entered without a deal is because of the metal plate in stanfords head, he can enter someones dreams (again unless protected by plate) and he cant control someones body unless he makes a deal. Atleast thats how i understood it.

  10. I remember I got into the show right before the episode about the Stan brothers, so I was mostly in the time for the theories. Too bad I was too little to really piece anything together (even though I was a FNAF fan prior) , and I didn't speak English, so all the theories I saw where from one channel on YouTube, but it was still a great time. I remember a lot of theories from the beginning of this video, but not the rest

  11. In the Bill and Stan have a history segment, I remember one crucial piece of evidence was that the cards at the end of each episode that, if combined, showed the picture of Stanley and Stanford didn't reveal Stanley's eyes until the very end, and it was speculated that when they would be revealed, it would turn out that Stanley was possessed by Bill

  12. Alex Hirsch is such a genius that he built the DeLorean and traveled back in time to make Back to the Future just so he could foreshadow Mabel being erased from the timeline.

  13. I only started watching Gravity Falls in early 2019. Videos like these are honestly so fascinating to me, being a newer fan who had access to and was able to binge every single episode. Despite not being around for the peak 2012-2015 fandom/theorising period, I still feel oddly nostalgic when thinking about it. Guess GF just tends to have that effect on you…
