  1. See you can have diversity in a show. But most importantly you need to have a good story. BSG proved that. Show writers go back and read the old authors they painted a picture in your mind and laied out a good story. Not push an agenda.

  2. Growing up with the original it took me a long time to get over the fact that Starbuck was changed to a woman but Katie Sackoff just knocked it out of the park. If anything she ended up being my favorite character, props to her.

  3. Read the book "When an Alien speaks to you" to learn how space battles are really fought. Have you ever thought of what such explosions as shown i this movie would do to your own ship? You are not in some kind of dense atmosphere, like on Earth, nor in a gravity situation, like on Earth.

  4. We were so fortunate to have this show when it came out. I remember the pilot mini-series had a very post-9/11 vibe to it; humanity reeling from profound loss. The series built on that "against all odds" sensibility with sequences like this and just delivered season after season.

  5. Loved both the mini-series and the show, but considering how many Vipers they lose in this battle, they probably would have lost every single one during that first episode 33….

  6. Interesting that they recycled the combat landing scenes for the Vipers because there was definitely some Mark VII's doing the landings. The Mark VII's weren't used because they found out the Cylons could shut them down with a virus, so the Galactica used the old Mark II's slated for the museum.
